Before I begin, I'd like to warn you that I suck at sticking with stories and that I will probably/maybe/most likely/definitely add things in from other shows, movies, anime, etc. Not anything drastically big though. Please enjoy. I'd appreciate comments, but I'm new to this thing and haven't quite yet figured out how to read them. Thanks!

Disclaimer: I do not own Magi, any of the characters (besides the ones I create), the art I have added into the story, or anything from any other shows, movies, anime, etc. that I might add in.

Once upon a time, there was a little girl. This girl was named Chavondria. It was a name fitting for a princess her parents thought of her to be. She lived poor, but happily in the outskirts of a village. She had a caring mother, an honest father, and three loving siblings. She was a middle child; the second eldest and 8 years old. She had a responsible older sister, troublesome younger brother, and spoiled baby sister.

Where she came from, it rained all the time. It wasn't a dreary, depressing rain like what you imagine rain to be. It was pure, it was free, it could wash away any sins or tears. Whenever it rained, and it did so often, the villagers would celebrate and throw as big a party as their poverty let them and all their problems would be simply washed away.

Unfortunately, there would be a problem that not even a thousand years of rain could wash the sins out of.

You see, Chavondria was no ordinary girl. When her skin was cut, it would heal instantly. It wouldn't even leave a scar behind. It would vanish as if it was never there at all. Sometimes, she would see "little white birds", as she called them. She would try to point them out, but no one could see them. Some people thought she was crazy or some kind of creature for her healing abilities. But, her village did not lack tact. Though they thought such things, they would never voice them to little princess Chavondria. They were cautious, but still kind.

One day, it was raining heavily and the whole village was preparing for the night to come when an armored man entered the village with a collection of soldiers. They had a terribly dark atmosphere around them. They asked the villagers where they could find a little girl who would heal from any cut and spoke of white birds. The villagers, thinking this man was as shady as they come, did not reveal where this girl was. And so, the man left, but not before he threatened the villagers that if he found out they were lying, he would slaughter the lot of them.

The villagers immediately informed Chavondria's father about the man and his threats. Worried, her father told his wife and children to not leave the house as he went to investigate the heart of the village, where the man appeared. While her father was in the midst of gaining information about this man, the man showed up. He confronted the father and, with her father being the honest man he is, easily saw through his lies. Boiling with rage at the fact that the villagers lied, the man cut her father down. He broke in and searched every house for little Chavondria. He kept true to his threat and killed anyone he saw.

Chavondria's mother, hearing the commotion, knew that there was trouble. She quickly led her children into the forest and, unbeknownst to her, was followed by the murderer who saw them flee their home. He was light on his feet and easily caught up to Chavondria's panicky mother. He threw her aside and grabbed for Chavondria who, like her siblings, was crying in pure terror. Her mother threw herself against him as a protective wall between he and her children and ordered her children to run.

And so they did.

They ran and ran, not knowing where they were going due to their panic and blurry eyes.

The soldiers who had accompanied the man rushed after the children while their captain fell behind dealing with the protective mother bear. Once he gained the upper hand, the demon yelled to his troops, "DON'T LET ANY VILLAGER SURVIVE. SHOULD YOU FIND THAT LITTLE GIRL, BE SURE TO TORTURE HER SIBLINGS IN FRONT OF HER EYES. TORTURE THEM SO HORRIBLY THAT THEY BEG FOR YOU TO KILL THEM."

The children ran and ran, but the soldiers were slowly catching up and there was only a cliff waiting for them. An arrow was shot and hit Chavondria's older sister in the heart. Chavondria, in her tears, tried holding her dear sister's hand only to be pushed away and ordered them to leave without her.

And they did.

It wasn't too much longer when a soldier caught up to them. Her younger brother let go of her hand and tackled the man, screaming that since their father was now dead, he was the man of the family and that the man of the family protects the women. Chavondria bit her lip, took her youngest sister's hand, and began to run again. Her tears were now a river flowing down her face and her last sibling was sobbing profusely. She squeezed her hand and ran faster.

After running for such a long time, they finally reached the cliffs edge. They were trapped and surrounded by bloodthirsty men dressed in armored clothing. Their leader, the one who ordered their demise, stepped forward. He spoke in great detail and depth of all the horrible things he was going to do to Chavondria's last sister. Chavondria kneeled before her sister and assured her that she wouldn't let him lay a hand on her.

She looked over the cliff's face and saw giant, sharp rocks. Even she, the one who could heal swiftly, would die if she were to jump.

They were cornered.

She faced her sister again and embraced her tightly. As tears swam down her face she told her sister, "Please forgive me, but I will not let you suffer at their hands."
Her sister gave her a confused look that was quickly wiped away by a terrible ache of pain in her back.

Chavondria had stabbed her straight through her heart.

She choked on her blood and managed to escape a "why" before dying in her arms. The group of armored men were surprised, but did not break their formation.

Chavondria stood and faced them in defiance.

"That blade will do you no good." The captain had spat.

She knew this.

She openly smirked, and pushed off of the cliff to the rocky waters below.

"NO!" The man had screamed.

Chavondria closed her eyes and imagined her family and their bright smiles surrounded by the villagers who protected her. She grabbed hold of the locket around her neck and held it tight, waiting for the pain of the rocks ripping through her flesh.

The soldiers heard a loud crack and Chavondria's vision went black...

I know it seems a little strange and dark, but trust me on this. Don't worry, my writing won't usually be like this. Also, warning, I really won't get to the OC's relationship with Sinbad for a while. So if you're looking for something that goes straight into it, you might want to read another fic :)
