Watery dew nestles on the leaves of the trees as the rain pours from the darkened sky. Humidy clings onto the summer air and every breath I take feels heavy. Water droplets collect on the glass of my window as I stare into into the abyss of nature surround me. The little droplets of rain chase each other across the sky, each falling to their own fate. Maybe only the rain knows of sorrow and tears. Every droplet of watery sadness holds a secret only to be reavealed when it reaches its end upon crash-landing onto a surface. The rain makes me feel cleansed. I feel new.
I slowly back away from the window and draw back my curtains into their rightful place. They cover what little sunlight is provided in the world outside my room. The room is now dark and the humidity makes it feel damp with heat. My body moves towards the air conditioner as my fingers firmly press the power button. The cool air explodes from the fan and blows away the sweat the clings onto my pores of my skin. I feel refreshed as my body temperure is chilled back to its natural state.
The floorboards creak as my feet move across them. My weight shifts from one foot to the other as I make my way towards my bed. The sheets lay in a piled mess upon the surface of the mattress. I gently slide myself into the bed pulling the thinest sheet over the my body. My legs kick at fabric surrounding me, trying to untangle the twister lower half. I nestle my head against the softness of my pillow and close my eyes. Darkness surrounds me and let my wasted state fade into dreams.
