With a smile of adoration, Jona grasped his newly wedded wife's hand in his own. I smiled and grasped Hunter's hand as well. He grumbled under his breath and picked at the black lacy table cloth.

I rolled my eyes, giggling, "Lighten up will you?"

"I swear to god if he touches you-"

"Hunter, it's his wedding. He just got married. He doesn't like me, never has, never will," I sighed, bringing our intertwined hands to my lips. I kissed his hand gently, making him glance up at me. A small smile was hidden behind his translucent annoyance.

The tall man walked over to us with his newly wedded wife in hand. We stood up from our chairs. Hunter puffed out his chest, looking at Jona with a hard gaze. Despite the age difference, Hunter was a lot bigger than Jona.

"We're so glad you came!" Jona said with a wide smile. Sapphire stood next to him, looking at me the same as Hunter was looking at Jona.

"We're so glad you invited us!" I said, grasping Hunter's arm. We both ignored our partners hatred to our friendship.

You Only Live Once by Suicide Silence started to blast through the speakers. The newly wedded couple turned their attention towards the DJ and bided us a goodbye.

"I hate him," Hunter grumbled.

"Why?"

"What is with you and emo people?" He questioned back.

I rolled my eyes, "He's my best friend, Hunter. Deal with it. You're friends with Claire and I have no problem with it."

"Whatever," He huffed and sat down.

I skipped over to the DJ and motioned for him to come to my height. He crouched down on the raised stage, taking off the headphones.

"Something I Need by OneRepublic, please?" I asked over the music, jutting my lower lip slightly. He chuckled and nodded. The previous song ended and OneRepublic started to play as I walked past Jona and Sapphire.

"This is a lame song, Gemma," Jona grinned, shoving me slightly.

"Shut up Jonathan- YOU'VE GOT SOMETHING I NEED! IN THIS WORLD FULL OF PEOPLE THERE'S ONE KILLING ME!" I sang at the top of my lungs as I pranced back to Hunter. I pointed at him as I sang, causing him to shake his head at my childishness. A smile grew across his lips.

I cupped his cheeks as I kissed his lips. We had one of those fairytale moments where it felt like everything just faded to a blur of colors and sounds. He grasped my waist and pulled me closer.

After a few seconds, he pulled away and brought me to his chest.

When they brought out the cake and gave everyone a slice, I looked around mischievously.

I saw Derrick laughing with the rest of Jona's friends. I knew he would continue the food fight.

I glanced over to Jona and he was already looking at me with the same impish look on his face. He gave me a quick nod of approval.

With that, I climbed onto the table making Hunter look at me with wide eyes. Once I was balanced, everyone was looking at me.

"Nice view I have," Hunter smirked up at me. I rolled my eyes, brushing the imaginary dust off my dress subconsciously.

I bent down to grab a handful of the disgusting cake and threw it at Derrick. It hit him square in the face, making everyone go quiet. After wiping the black icing from his eyes, he grinned at me and threw a handful of cake back.

But it hit Hunter.

I choked back a laugh as his eyes went wide. With a glare and an evil grin, he threw some back. But it hit Kyle.

And that's how it started it.

I was running across the dance floor, my heels clicking. I dodged lots of flying cake and slid underneath a table.

Eddy was under there. He was Jona's friend's fourteen-year-old son.

I grinned at him and held out my hand, "Come with me if you want to live," I said dramatically. His face went pink as he grasped my hand.

We sneakily scooted from under the table and behind the large cake.

"Okay, grab a handful of cake and throw it wherever," I grinned at the green haired boy. He looked at me blankly with wide eyes. I grabbed his chin softly, "You're so cute," I giggled before grabbing a chunk of the cake.

I peeked around and saw everyone throwing cake and laughing and hiding. It was amazing.

I spotted Hunter and threw it at him. I hid behind the cake as he spun around.

I remember that day as if it was yesterday.

Everyone was so happy.

Now here we are... at war.
