I woke up with the shadows of people huddled around me. I wince as my head starts to throb.

"Then why isn't she healing?" a quiet voice asks

"It's a mental block, someone has toyed with her memories. Leah please do all that you can to revive them, and heal her. She needs to remember who she really is." I grunt and wriggle as I try to get up.

"Soraya? Hey, how're you feeling?" a male voice asks

"I'm fine."

"You tend to say that, even when you don't mean it." the same voice asks. I try to open my eyes even a tad bit more to get a glimpse of the man speaking to me but my sight is glossy and I can't see well.

"Really, I'm good." I say as girl's hand covers mine. I could tell that it was a girl's hand by the shape, it's petite and I could feel her long, probably fake, nails on the palm of my hand. She chanted something that was indistinctive. I pulled my hand away from her. "What are you doing?" I ask

"Testor deos sibi mederi." she repeats while taking a firm grip on my hand. I try to pull away but I am too weak. After about three minutes, I can see clearly and I regain my strength completely. I shot up.

"What did you do to me?" I ask backing away from the young girl.

"I healed you." she says smiling. I laugh and her smile quickly turns into a frown. "I do not like to be mocked, only the greatest witch taught me."

"You can't really think that I would believe that you healed me... And that you're a witch?"

"Lumine ignis." she says and suddenly the room that was filled with unlit candles, burst into a bright flame. My eyes widen as I stare at her. "Although, your talents are useful, you still don't have access to them. I'm going to help you with that as well." she smirks as soon as a familiar man walks into the room.

"Thanks Leah." he says to the girl beside me, she smiles at both of us genuinely before standing to her feet and walking out if the room.

"Did you really think that you were gonna get out of that lunch so easily?" I chuckle at his question

"What's going on Elliot, where am I? Why am I not in a hospital? Why am I suddenly healed? What the bloody hell is going on?"

"So many questions Aya." he says sitting beside me

"Well I'm a bit confused if you hadn't noticed."

"This all may seem a bit... Odd. But all of the people here are here to protect you, none of them would let you die. Trust me when I say that you're better off getting help here than at a hospital."

"Really? And why is it that all of these strangers are willing to die for me?"

He sighs before putting a hand on my thigh he was about to speak when an attractive man with black hair and glowing green eyes (similar to the eyes that I saw before I passed out) walks into the room, leans against the doorway, and stares at me with a look that couldn't quite place my finger on.

"We're not strangers dear. In fact, were probably the closest thing that you've got to family. Now leave Elliot, I need to speak with her."

"William, she's not well, and she needs someone familiar to be around her." Elliot says. His grip on me getting a bit tighter

"Elliot, I asked once, next time I won't be so kind." he says roughly making my eyes widen. Elliot looks at me with sadness before leaving.

"How are you people my family? Why did he have to leave?"
