You guys may see a difference in writing style. That's because I wrote this chapter! Yeah Sara wrote this one. So leave a comment and tell me how I did! She is now a Beserker, not human. This take plac four years later! So sorry if its confusing!

Blood.

The Ripper basked in it, taking in the scent and savoring it. The scent of it filled the crisp winter air; the copper smell mixing in with the fresh scent of snow, almost overpowering the horrid stench of death. The moon shown over head illuminating the dark forest, only highlighting the paths it would take to find the killer. Or maybe, showing the killer its way to his prey.

The predator was hungry, starved for many days. It has not fed for fear of the hunter that had been tracking it for many weeks. The monster could not handle his hunger, and tonight he deemed it fit to come out of hiding, but so far Forest Guardians have been it's only food. What it really wanted was an Amarathian. Even better, a human. However, humans were few and far between.

The wind whispered warnings, alerting any living soul of the danger that was lurking through the forest; its hunger still not satisfied. It howled a fierce tune, the melodies bitter and cruel as it screamed and howled, mimicking the sounds of the creatures who had already perished. It continued to sing to the woodland creatures, and the family of four who lived in a small cottage. It was on the side of life, not the side of the carnivorous monster extinguishing all life. When it came to a halt, not a single sound could be heard.

The Ripper, the carnivorous beast just out of hiding, mounted the hill which overlooked the small cottage of four. Air blew out through his nose in a misty frost of wind. He grinned, showing his teeth. His grotesque features scared away all sorts of little critters, making them go into hiding.

Tonight, he would not be the hunted, but the hunter.

I heard the sound of padding paws as they made their way over the freshly fallen snow. I stood on a short cliff which overlooked a clearing soaked in a Forest Guardian's blood. She next to me, her head next to mine as she was huge. Sitting down, she curls her white and black tail over her paws as her sharp eyes scanned the snowy crimson soaked clearing. "The family is safely hidden. I put a barrier around their cellar so that monster can't get in."

A fierce gust of wind exploded all of a sudden, blowing my purple hair forward and carrying my scent towards the thing in the clearing. He'd be after us now, having scented me, something more appetizing. "Thank you, Fee," I said to my horse sized saber tooth tiger.

The beast was really big yet wasn't very high in ranking. He made for a lousy fight. His body was set up in a way a bear is, but had no fur with red eyes. He had huge teeth and his face was of weird proportions.

She licked her paw then wrinkled her nose as a loud feral roar shattered through the air. "Such a noisy beast," she scoffed as she narrowed her eyes at the beast who picked up on our scent. "I could be in front of the fire curled up on a blanket drinking warm milk, but instead I have to be out here with such a troublesome thing."

A small smirk formed on my lips as I closed my eyes, opening up my Spirit ability. When I opened them again, all I could see was black before a faint blue glow began to form. I knew this was my cat as it was just beside me. I looked over at the Ripper and saw a strong rust colored fire exploding from him, which wasn't good.

"It's Spirit Energy is out of control," I murmured while stepping closer.

"Indeed it is," Fee replied as she watched the monster start to run towards the cliff. She glared at it as I felt the rush of adrenaline shoot through my body. "Make this quick."

The smirk turned into a shit eating grin as I stepped closer to the edge. I nodded, only slightly nervous until I felt the tiny pin pricks of excitement on my skin.
