I Promise...

Chapter 1

SPLASH! I instantly get up and notice that there's water all over my body. Yes, water and it's all over my body. I look up to see Alison, my annoying elder sister with a smug look on her face. That lil....I'm going to slit her throat and feed it to my dire wolf! Yeah yeah, I know I don't have a dire wolf and this ain't no Game of Thrones, but hey, what's the harm in imagining, right?

I get up from my bed which is wet, thanks to my sister. No pun intended. Okay, maybe a little. Anyway, I get up, go straight to my sister and literally yell at her face,"WHAT THE HELL, ALI? WHAT WAS THAT FOR??" "Jeez, calm down. I was just trying to wake you up." She said. "BY SPLASHING WATER ALL OVER MY BODY?? SERIOUSLY!!! You couldn't just, I dunno, maybe nudge me or something??" I yell at her. "Oh, I tried doing that, but you were just sleeping like the dead. Trust me, I've been trying to wake you up for the past 15 minutes." 15 minutes?? Is she exaggerating?? Come on, I don't think that's possible. Or maybe it is. Damn!!

"Anyway, now that you're up, get dressed quickly, cuz we're all going out for lunch." I was confused. Did she just say lunch? What time is it? "It's 2:00 pm, incase you're wondering what time it is."She replied answering to my thoughts. It's 2 pm?? What the....!And how did she read my mind. Did Ali learn to read minds? "Audi, you're my sister. I've known you since the day you were born, so yeah, I can pretty much figure out what your facial expressions mean. Now, stop looking like you've just been proposed by Cole Sprouse and start getting ready." Ali replied, once again, answering my mind and leaves my room.

Now, I have to get ready. I internally groan as I hate getting dressed. It's so much of work. Searching for a pair of clothes, removing your own clothes, then putting on another pair of clothes. I mean, who has the patience for all that? Why couldn't I just be born as a wizard? It'd be so much of fun.

Anyway, I go to my bathroom, do all my morning duties (hahaha, morning duties, cracks me up every single time), brush my teeth and then search for something to wear. In the end I decide to wear my elder brother's black T-shirt (No, I didn't steal it. I just borrowed it without asking), black jeans with black vans. Oh yeah, I'm totally killing the homeless look.

Satisfied with how I look, I rush out to meet my siblings. And by siblings, I mean my younger brother Aiden, who's three years younger than me and my elder twin siblings, Ashwin and Alison, who are two years elder to me. As I go downstairs, I'm greeted by my best best best friend, Ron, which is short for Ronald and instantly, I start grinning like a fool.

Ron has been my best friend since forever, literally forever. My life would totally suck without him. Just like me, Ron too, has three siblings. Talk about overpopulation. I mean we are totally giving India and China a good competition. Anyway, Ron has a younger sister named Rachael, who's in the same class as Aiden and guess what? They are dating!!! 12 year olds these days. Ron has an elder sister named Regina and she's nothing like Regina George from Mean Girls (thank god for that). She's in the same class as Ali and Ash (Ashwin) and she's dating Ash. Wow! Last, but not the least, is Ron's eldest sibling, Robin, who is four years older than Ron and is dating Ali. Once again, wow! So now, that leaves us to Ron and me, and everyone at home are openly shipping us but that ain't gonna happen. I mean, both of us love each other, but not that kind of love. He's way beyond everyone and everything. I love him way too much than anyone and I love being his best friend. That's all that there is about Ron.

"Earth to, Audi. Stop zoning out and let's go, man. I'm hungry as hell while you're sleeping and lazying around." Ron started whining about his hunger. He always whines about his hunger. Typical Ron. "Shut up. I'm not lazy. Can't you see that I'm ready?" I said.

"Sure, after Ali woke you up with a bucket of water" he chuckled. Now, how the hell does he know that?? "I know that cuz Ali stuck a video cam in your room before waking you up and trust me, that was so hilarious. Everyone downstairs, just can't stop laughing looking at it" and he starts laughing loudly. I'm going to kill everyone and throw their bodies down a cliff. Freaking Asshats! Okay, I need to control my killing desires before it turns worse.

Suddenly remembering, I ask Ron,"Where's mom and dad??" "Oh, they left this morning to New York for some general meeting." He answered. Almost instantly, I feel sad. They didn't even inform me about it. I understand that they have a huge empire to take care of, but they could have at least informed me.

It's always been this way with my parents. I don't think I've spent real quality time with them and that sucks. I have amazing friends in my life whom I consider as my family. I have all the love I want from them but I've never gotten any from my parents. They are always so busy with work. They don't even seem to care what I'm doing, where I am, what I want, what I like. This sucks.

Ron seems to understand my change in emotions. He comes near me, holds my face between his hands and says,"Hey, no matter how busy they are, they'll always love you and they are proud of you. I mean, how could they not? You're best friends with Ronald D'souza. One of the hottest, smartest, most talented personalities in LA. They should be proud of you."

Yeah, I agree, my best friend is a total hottie but he clearly has an ego, the size of Russia. Too exaggerated, but you get the point, right? "Yeah, yeah, keep telling yourself that. Who knows, you might actually believe it one day" I reply, smoothly. Oh yeah! "Okay whatever, now let's get going!!! Cuz I'm hungrrrrrry!!!" Ron whined.

And by that, everything's back to normal. I meet up with the rest of my gang and all of us immediately rush to the car cuz we're all HUNGRY!!! And we are heading off to MCDONALDS!!!! Yaaaaay!
