Prologue

"Watch out!" A woman called to her husband as the serpent clan master burst through the castle bedroom doors. "Surrender and nobody dies......maybe" said the serpent clan master with a chuckle. "NEVER!" said the husband "Put firestar in the pod and run for your li-" he said as he was abruptly interrupted by the serpent clan master's dagger straight through his heart. After seeing his dad die, the 2-year-old boy, that was clutching to his mother's dress, started to bawl. His mother, while she was weeping over her husband's death, first put a fire shield bubble around her, her son, & the escape pod and did exactly what her husband told her to do. She quickly grabbed firestar, ran over to the pod & put him, a small box, and her Firestone necklace in the pod and strapped him in. "We love you and if you're ever sad or want me just call for me and I'll be there for you." Those were the last he ever heard his mother say because as she pressed the launch button, the serpent clan master burst through the fire shield bubble and sliced his mother's head off with one clean, swift, swipe. As the pod zoomed out of the atmosphere the boy witnessed the explosion of half his planet
