(tom)

I woke up before anyone else did. The sun was up, so that's a plus. I jumped up and shouted loudly for everyone to wake up.

Jordan sat up and rubbed his eyes, before putting his red sunglasses on again and walking towards the furnace for food.

Tucker glared at me for waking him, but he shook Sonja until she woke up and the two of them got food as well.

Tucker yawned. "Well, yesterday I found a cave, should I make an iron chest plate, or.."

"Armor is a good call," Jordan answered.

"Yep," Sonja said. "Be a big, defensive wimp."

Tucker smiled and shook his head at his girlfriend, while making an iron chest plate.

"I shall return!" Tucker said, making his way towards the mine.

"Uh, hey, I'm gonna go get that sugar cane off that island over there," Jordan said, carrying a small boat to the edge of the water.
I watched Jordan sail off into the distance, his red cape flying in the wind.

I turned to Sonja. "We need to do something about this sand hut," I told her. She nodded. I grabbed a wooden spade and began clearing the sand and dirt of the area. I left Sonja to do the building and began working on the small farm.

"Guys, I found redstone! And Lava!" Tucker exclaimed.

"I dont know why that's something to be excited about," I muttered, harvesting the wheat.

"What, that I found lava? Because I'm gonna burn shit down," Tucker answered.

I laughed. And then Jordan began talking. "Ladies and gentlemen, I have found nothing." He said.

"Wait what are you looking for?" I asked him.

"The gu- Wait I did find it! I actually found the thing!" He replied quickly.

"Wait, you found the guardian temple?" Tucker asked him.

"Yep," Jordan answered.

"Well get the hell out of there!" I shouted. "You, Captain Sparkley Dick, are an idiot!"

"Well I mean I'm not going in the temple," Jordan said. I looked to my right and saw Jordan sailing back towards the island.

"Hey, Tom? How big do you want this house? I mean I'm assuming not very big.." Sonja asked.

"I dont know, I mean you're used to not very big so just do whatever," I answered.

"Woah!" Tucker yelled. "Not cool, man. I'm down here working my as- AHH CREE-" and then nothing. Only static could be heard from Tucker's line.

Sonja eyes widened and tears were visible. Jordan just stood awkwardly, his hands over his mouth in shock.

"Tucker?" I asked. Sonja shook her head and ran over to where we landed after the fall.

"He'll respawn here. He'll be fine," She insisted.

But something about this death felt different than the ones in the Realm of Mianite. There seemed to be an abnormal emptiness now.

We stood there for three minutes, and there was no sign that Tucker was going to be respawned. Sonja collapsed on the dirt, her face was red and covered in tears. Jordan and I stood awkwardly, unsure of what to do.

I ran back into the house and grabbed my iron sword and ran back down into the mine. I had to see where he had been.

I tried my best to ignore Sonja's sobs and Jordan's comforting words as I descended further down the dark tunnel.

I finally found an unlit cavern, with items scattered everywhere. I picked up all the items before I found an item that made me start to cry.

Tucker's hat.

I picked it up and carefully put it on my head. I would give it back to Sonja when I got back. I picked up the broken communicator-watch and threw it into the lava that wasn't far away. The fuzz that had been heard disapeered.

"I found his stuff," I said quietly.  Sonja and Jordan were both quiet.

I turned to make my way back up the stairs, but stopped when something caught my eye. A bright blue ore was on the other side of the cavern. I screamed.

"What?!" Jordan asked worriedly.

"I found diamonds!" I replied.

Jordan and Sonja sounded happy over my discovery, but they weight of Tucker's absence still hung in the air.

"Sixteen diamonds.." I said quietly after I mined all of the sparkly gems.

"Sixteen?!" Sonja and Jordan asking unison.

I nodded, facepalmed because they couldn't see me nod, and then answered, "Yep."

I returned to the surface to find that where the sand hut once stood was now a good-sized cobblestone house.

"Fancy!" I said, looking at the house. Sonja and Jordan came out of the house.

"Isn't it?" Jordan asked. Sonja still looked as if she had cried for hours, so of course it didn't help that I had Tucker's hat on my head.

I took it off and handed it to her. She started crying again and held the hat to her chest.  I frowned and went inside the house, grabbed the supplies that were needed.

"I know what I need to do," I said solemnly.

"Pour one out?" Jordan asked, trying to lighten the mood.

I smiled sadly. "No. I'm going to build a grave."

I ran to the edge of the island and placed two cobblestone blocks along with a small cobblestone wall that would serve as a tombstone. On the wall I put a sign that read:

RIP Tucker. Day Three.

I didn't realize I was crying until I felt something wet land on my shirt. Sonja walked up behind me and say Tucker's hat on the tombstone.

Rest in peace, Tucker
