It hadn't been very long since Harry Potter had heard the throaty voice of his uncle Vernon yelling at him to get his ass out of bed.
"Quiet Vernon, Dudley could be sleeping." Aunt Petunia managed to squeak out as she stumbled over to the the humongous oaf.
Harry fluttered his eyes as if to prepare them for a staring contest. He felt the counter of his bedside table, feeling for his glasses.
"Harry Potter must hurry if he wants to keep his bedroom." Vernon half whispered.
Harry grabbed his glasses and placed them overtop his bridged nose. He kicked the sheets off from his torso and hung his feet over the side of his bed, straightening up his pillow.
His Hogwarts suitcase lay full with unfolded clothes, books and other supplies. Harry pushed himself off his bed and traveled downstairs, rubbing his eyes.
Uncle Vernon glanced at him and yelled out, "Ah, Harry! Are you packed?"
"Yes." answered Harry.
Petunia sat at the dining table waiting for Dudley to come down for breakfast.
Harry walked over to the kitchen and started greasing up the pan for Tuesday morning bacon.
He took six pieces of bacon off the pan leaving two for him. He enjoyed crispy bacon rather than soft bacon like the Dursleys.
"Pumpkin!" Aunt Petunia shrieked, walking over to a very sleepy Dudley, "Come, Harry has cooked bacon!"
She walked him over to the table, her heels clunking louder each step. Petunia hurried over to the kitchen to grab Dudley's cuisine, without making eye contact with Harry.
Harry had a much smaller plate than Dudley. He had only two pieces of crispy bacon along with a green apple. Dudley, on the other hand, had four pieces of soft bacon, three scrambled eggs, a piece of raisin toast, and a hash brown all stacked on his plate.
"I'm finished." said Harry, still munching on his bacon.
"Go get ready." answered Vernon.
"I've packed."
"Assume they'll be arriving soon. Go get your clothes on and brush that hair boy!"
Harry skipped steps as he ran back up to his bedroom. He put on his sweatshirt which had a Gryffindor lion pasted on the torso and khaki pants. His shoes lay by the door waiting for a hand to knock on the door so Harry could slip them on and leave to go to the Weasley's fascinating cottage.
"Harry! Get down here!" Vernon shouted, "There's a bloody bird waiting for you!"
Harry grabbed his shoes, way too excited to put them on his feet and slammed his door on the wall as he opened it. He stomped down the stairs only halfway to realize that he forgot his luggage. He ran back upstairs, locked his case and carried it, walking slowly back down the stairs, placing his baggage at the bottom of the stairs. Petunia opened the door to let in a very clumsy owl and a flock of redheads.
"Harry!" Ron exclaimed almost not noticing him.
"Ron! George, Fred! Mr.Weasley!" Harry grinned.
"Morning Harry! Morning Dursleys, nice to meet you," Mr Weasley kindly approached Petunia and Vernon, "I am Ron's father, Arthur. I'm sure you've heard a lot about me from Harry."
"No," Harry interrupted, "I mean, uh-mm, I...I don't mention Hogwarts often."
The Weasleys looked back at me, almost shocked.
To break the silence, Ginny walked through Fred and George.
"Hi Harry!"
"Hello! Good to see you."
She shook his hand in greeting.
"Well," Arthur proclaimed, "Best be off! Molly is getting a nice lean lunch prepared and I don't want to be late, I'll tell you that!"
Vernon snorted as if to annoy Mr.Weasley. And Arthur did notice.
Eyeing Vernon he said with a lower, calmer voice, "Oh and thank you so much for letting us take Harry. We'll get him all ready for school, no worries! We can just give him George's old school books. Say goodbye Harry."
"Uh... bye"
"Jolly good fun!" Vernon sarcastically said, "Chop-chop! You don't want to miss that delicious lunch!"
He was basically pushing us out the door. We walked outside and placed my suitcase in the car's trunk. I sat in the middle of Ron and Ginny in the back seat. Mr.Weasley started the engine and-
"Wait!" Harry yelled.
"Harry, is there something wrong?"
"Sir, I've forgotten Hedwig."
"Hedwig?"
"Harry's owl, Dad. He's forgotten his owl." Ron said unbuckling.
Harry opened the car door and jogged back to the door. He opened it without hesitation and walked into Petunia sobbing into Vernon's shoulder. She kept saying continuously, "He's my son in law, Vernon. He's my son in law."
