" babe, sorry, " I said, I don't usually call him babe " I love you but I really can't go out tonight I have other plans okay" I sit on the wing of the couch looking at the freshly painted olive green walls imagining all the expressions on Nathan's face.
"Fine," he says " I will just cancel all the reservations." He made it sooo clear he was angry .
" reservations?"I asked quietly
"Yes reservations but it's okay, it's raining anyway it's not a good picked day" he answered, I still knew he was slightly mad at me.
I leaned over to give him a kiss on the cheek but he dodged it.
" nah " he said " I'm too busy " he continued sarcastically
" look," I said "you've gotta accept my other plans."
I start walking towards the door to put my keys and wallet in the dish but he grabs my waist and pulls me so I'm facing him, he lay me in his lap and gently kisses me " I'm sorry go," he whispers " I just had a bad day, it's alright we can plan a better night out and organise things properly ." His lips were soft like a baby when he kisses me again.
" I'm staying," I say " I was going to put the keys in the dish , we never celebrated moving in together. This is our first place and we can dance in the pouring rain"
I walk toward the door, Nathan slaps me on the butt and giggles as I let out a little screech and join his laughter. I place my stuff in the dish an stand in front of him. I dig my head in his shoulders and he wraps him arms around me. I notice a bulge in the back pocket of his jeans. I won't ask about it, it might be the big question, after all we've been together five years already.
