Chapter 3
Nathan's POV
I sit on the couch waiting for Octavia to come out of the bedroom. My heart is racing so fast.
I hear the door click and I instantly turn to see Octavia in her dress looking stunning as usual. The red really brings out her beautiful green eyes.
" I'm speechless" I say
" well you just spoke " Octavia nervously says and she looks at the ground.
" you look absolutely gorgeous" I tell her and give her a warm smile.
She looks up at me and pulls a soft smile back. I pick her up and carry her out of the door to the car.
She jumps up " I haven't done my hair" she panicks. " Me either"I smile at her. " bu-" I shush her " you look beautiful how you are " I tell her.
I open the passenger seat door and she slides in.
" where exactly are we going " Octavia asks.
"Somewhere nice "I answer
She looks at me and smiles and I smile back.
" any plans tomorrow " I question
" nope," she answers " I told you that already "
" good because I have something in mind " I say.
The car trip to the restaurant was pretty silent.
We walk in and the gentleman at the counter asks for name from the reservation. " may I take you coats"
He asks " yes pah- lease " Octavia answer and the man smiles. I don't think Octavia realises how fancy the restaurant actually is.
The man guides us to our table.
I watch Octavias jaw drop as she sits at our table for two.
" your plans or my 'reservations'" I ask.
" your reservations" she giggles.
Octavia's POV
We laugh and swap funny stories about our childhood. The food was delicious and this restaurant is so fancy and unique.
" have any room for dessert " Nathan asks.
" dessert doesn't go to the stomach it goes to the heart" we giggle. I think I've drunk to much wine.
The waiter comes around, " is there an occasion to this lovely outing" he asks. " actually there is," Nathan answers " if only Octavia let me finish" he kneels down for the second time again and pulls our a purple velvet box from his back pocket. He opens it and inside was a beautiful diamond ring." will you marry me" I look into his eyes " yes " I answer. The people near us in the restaurant clap and congratulate us.
