Regina Mills works for a very well known advertising company called "Your Perspective". Today was her first day back at work from the summer holiday she got. Like every other day when going to work, she wakes up at 8:00am since she has to be at work for 9:00 and the drive wasn't too long which she liked.
Her annoying alarm went off. She grabbed her phone from the bedside table, turning it off and groaning at the thought that her vacation time was over. Even though she didn't want to get up, she had to. She forced herself out of her bed, feeling the cold hard wood floor beneath her feet. Hugging her arms to find warmth, she walked to her bathroom and turned on the shower, grabbed a towel, and started to get ready for the day ahead.
She had decided that today was going to be a good day. Her first day back might be busy, but she was going to make the best of it. After all, she loved her job. She had been working with "Your Perspective" for almost seven years now. She had become best friends with most of the girls at the office and if she ever needed anything, she could always depend on them. Her boss respected her as well, Mr. Gold knew how hard she worked and appreciated it.
The only thing standing in her way of the perfect day, was not only the fact that she was going to have piles of paper work, but Zelena.
Zelena had been working for the same company for almost as long as Regina, and was very competitive. Not saying Regina wasn't as well, but Zelena would take it too far, always made everything at work a competition, like she had to beat her no matter what, and when they talked to each other she would always find some sort of way to insult or irritate her. And it would always bring her down for some reason. It's not like Regina even cared what that selfish b*** had to say, did she?
But not today! Regina said to herself while getting out of the shower. Not gonna let her drag me down.Regina wanted to look nice for her first day back, it was only two weeks she had off, but she still wanted to make good impressions on the walk-ins that wanted to make deals for advertising. She chose a black pencil skirt that rose just above the knee, good thing it was worm outside otherwise she'd be wearing tights. She wore an off white button up blouse with a black blazer to go over it in case Gold turned the air on and it got chilly at her desk. For shoes she wore tall black boots. She wore pearl earrings to finish the look. After finishing her makeup, and giving one last proud look in her full length mirror, she headed downstairs to eat breakfast, and before she knew it, she was out the door.

She got to work right on time. 9:00am sharp. She took the elevator up to her companies floor. As soon as she stepped out she was greeted cheerfully by Mary Margret, one of her best friends from the office. She started working there about four years ago and she really helped Regina with everything. Like her own personal assistance, but she did it willingly, out of kindness. She got up from the front secretary desk and hugged Regina tightly. "How was your time off?" She questioned, pulling away from Regina. "It was amazing and much needed. I got so much stress off my shoulders and I was able to relax". And she truly did, she slept in every single day, and didn't have to worry about paper work, or Zelena. "That's wonderful! Well, I know that Emma's been waiting for you to get here so why don't you go say hi to her!" Regina nodded her head and started to walk off. "Thanks Mary!" I kept walking, "no problem! And welcome back!" She started to flip through the pages on her desk again.
Emma and Regina have been best friends for seven years now. They both applied to the job at the same time and both got in. They told each other everything, like young teens in high school. She walked over to Emma's desk and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey!" She got up from her seat and gave her best friend a hug. "How was your vacay?!" Regina pulled away from their hug "it was great! Got to relax...like actually relax, without having to do any work". She chuckled because usually relaxing for her was on the weekends and she still had some paper work to do. "I feel ya! Well, I better get back to work, I have to work on this proposal for Gold. You should go see him, I think he's been missing you around the office" we both chuckled. I nodded my head "yes I should do that, I'll see you later!" She called as she was walking away. After going to see Gold she went to her desk to find not as much paper work as she expected. But it was still quite a lot. She sighed this is going to be a long day. And I haven't even run into Zelena yet. She rolled her eyes and turned on her computer screen.

Soon enough, it was time for her to go home. And surprisingly, she finished all of her work. She started to pack up and after she said to goodbye to everyone, she headed back to her apartment. Once she got there, she decided to grab a coffee form the place downstairs. It was a cute and quiet place, and the man that worked there remembered everyone's orders, including hers. As soon as she stepped into the doors she heard August call out her order, "one caramel latte comin up!" He spoke looking at her. She could have sworn he liked her. He always made small complements to her, and even in a huge line of people, her order came first. Which she didn't mind, but if he did have feelings for her, she didn't feel the same way. She would consider them friends, but nothing more than that.
After she grabbed her coffee and her and August exchanged smiles, she went to sit down at her usual spot. She got out her phone and began reading emails like she usually does when she got a tap on the shoulder. She turned her head to find a very handsome man standing in front of her. "Hi" she smiled at him. "Hi, my name is Robin Locksley, do you live in the building?" He shook her hand. "My name is Regina, and yes I do." She answered him. She couldn't help but look into his crystal blue eyes. "Great, I just moved in with my five year old son Roland. I just thought I should introduce myself". He gestured toward the seat across from her, "go ahead" he took a seat. "You chose a great spot, it's pretty quiet and the coffee shop is definitely a plus" she added. "Yeah, the coffee part is probably the only reason I chose this place" Regina giggled and took another sup of her coffee. Regina! You don't giggle what is your problem! You don't even like him! For heavens sakes you just met him two minutes ago! As these thoughts where popping in her head, Robin too had been zoned out. I have to find a way to keep talking to her! She's so beautiful! He shook the thoughts out of his head as she asked another question. "So where did you move from?" She too wanted this conversation to last longer. "About two hours away, I thought it was time for a change and I think I found the perfect place to do that." After Robins wife died about a year ago, he really did need to move on and go to a place where he wouldn't be reminded of her every single day, he would always have images of her walking throughout the house like any other day. And that couldn't happen anymore, it was making him feel kind of depressed and he wouldn't let that happen in front of Roland. "That's good for you" Regina said out of pure sincerity. "Well mi'lady, I wouldn't want to keep you, I'll be off. I'm sure I'll see you around though". She stood up as he did and firmly shook his hand, making it last a bit longer on purpose. "Yes I bet you will. And I'd love to meet your son too, I bet he's adorable". Was that too forward, that probably sounded weird. She wished she didn't say that. He pulled his hand away, "I bet you'll meet him on your own, he's running around all over the place". They both chuckled, "I'll see you around Regina" he made his way around he table and towards the elevator. She just smiled as he walked away.
He seems really nice, I think I've just made a new friend. She sat back down and continued to nurse her coffee and reading emails, likeing the thought of having another friend in her life.
Robin was thinking the exact same thing about her. When he got back to his apartment he was greeted by a happy Roland, and a jumpy Pacy, their guard dog. They've had Pacy for a while. So that Robin could go out for very short amounts of time, maybe fifteen minutes at most, without having too bring Roland, and know he's safe at the same time. She was a very well trained dog. She always made sure the entire area was safe to be in, always treated Roland and Robin very well.
Robin pat the dog and said hi to Roland. "Daddy! Come help me pick what to wear to school tomorrow!" He cheered as he grabbed Robin's hand and lead him up the small staircase. Pacy stayed and sat at the door, making sure no intruders entered.

Roland was in bed, Robin was cleaning the dishes, and all he could think about was Regina.
As for herself, she decided to head to bed early, but ended up turning on Netflix because she couldn't stop thinking. Her mind was racing with thoughts and it was starting to piss her off, so she decided to distract herself. Which actually worked. Soon enough, she feel asleep. And it was one of the best sleeps she's had in a while.
