The car was parked and Robin sighed in content "what?" Regina looked at him "I'm just very excited that I get to go on another date with you. I think you'll like my surprise" she smiled and unbuckled her seatbelt "well we'll just have to find out won't we?" She grabbed her purse and stepped outside, Robin following her, getting the picnic basket as well. He got ahold of her hand when they reached the board walk that took them to the beach. Once the couple reached the end of the pathway, Regina gasped in awe. "Oh Robin!" a hand covered her mouth "you did all of this for me!?"
In this beautiful scene there were four poles sticking up out of the ground and lights hanging from pole to pole, it honestly looked like a movie. In the centre of the lights there was what looked like a very soft blanket with dishes and cutlery on it, and there was soft music playing in the background, and to top it, they were right along the shoreline of the beach that had a beautiful sun just setting into pink, purple, and orange colours.
Regina looked at her boyfriend "of coarse, you deserve it" he answered her "you continue to amaze me every time I see you" she kissed his cheek and continued to walk towards the blanket. Robin put the food down and they sat down, staring out at the sunset. "This is truly beautiful" Regina nodded her head in disbelief "not as beautiful as you" he looked at her "but kisser" she teased as her face went red from the complement. They both laughed "it's true though" his face went serious "thank you" she put a hand overtop of his and looked in his eyes "would you like to eat now or wait a few minutes?" He asked and gently stroked his thumb along her hand "I'm starving!" She looked over to the picnic basket and grinned at what he could have packed. She hadn't really taken it in yet, but Robin was a really good date planner, he had the best ideas and always knew how to impress. He did all of this for her for just a simple little date. It was kind of like a talent...he knew how to put everything together so it was just right. Robin began to pull the food out while she asked "you had to have some help with this...how'd you set this all up?" Should he tell her John helped? Or sound really manly and say he did it all by himself? The thought wondered in in head for not very long until he realized that lying about something like that isn't his thing, it would be a stupid lie, and lies are never a good start start in a relationship. "Well..." He sighed and took the champagne out "I rented out this part of the beach and got John to help me set it all up" over time, Regina discovered that this John was his right hand man, and she has yet to meet him. Whenever Robin needed something, John was always there. Regina wished that she had a childhood friendship like these two had, someone that already knew every single little thing about them. And Emma new most of these things about her, but never shared those special moments together as kids that could have made them that much closer. "That's very kind of you two, make sure to tell him I said thank you" Regina shifted in her spot so it was easier to eat. Robin laid out all the food on the plates and it looked and smelled amazing. He picked up an assortment of vegetables and perfectly cooked steak. Regina took her first bite "this is amazing" she complemented "where'd you get it" Robin too a sip of his champagne "it's from a restaurant called Cavalinaros...I go there a lot with Roland and we love the food".They made little conversations, most of which Robin would end on a little compliment about her, like her hair, or just how beautiful she is. This ones definelty a keeper she kept thinking to herself. How did I get so lucky? Robin was wondering himself. Once their meals were finished, they tidied up a bit and Regina's head eventually found its way to Robins shoulder. "You know, you're an amazing woman Regina. And I'm not just saying this, You've been through so much, like your parents, your job...and your so strong about all of that. What I'm trying to say is that I'm very lucky to have you as a girlfriend and proud to call you mine" he smiled at her when she picked her head up off his shoulder. She gave him a sweet, soft kiss "I'm so lucky your my boyfriend" she sat up completely now with a wide grin on her face. Robin stood up which made Regina's expression turn complex. "Care to dance?" He held out his hand for her to take "I'd love to" she replied and took it. They walked to the middle of the setting and began slow dancing like teens to the song a thousand years by Christina Perri. She wrapped her arms around his neck and he did the same to her waist. They were perfectly in sink, like they knew what each other's next move would be. Their heads soon rested on one another as they held each other, feeling safe and warm. When the song picked up Robin gracefully spun her out and back in, receiving a giggle from Regina. They danced for a couple more songs, not wanting to leave the embrace they were in, but they soon got tired so they kicked off their shoes and went for a walk along the shoreline, the sun was now down, and only the beautiful bright stars remained in the sky. "I could do this every day" Regina sighed in content while swinging their hands which were interlocked together. "Me too" He stopped in his tracks and looked up at the sky "pick a star and make a wish" Regina giggled "so corny" she teased but looked up at the sky. She closed her eyes and breathed in, making her wish on the biggest star she saw. Robin didn't know what her wish was and she wasn't going to tell him. "I wish that I'll be with this man for the rest of my life" she thought and crossed her fingers in her free hand. Robin chuckled at her cuteness. "Done" She opened her eyes and smile like a little girl towards him. "Your just too adorable" he grabbed her other hand and turned so he was facing her, pulling her closer. Regina could feel the heat radiating off of him "and your just too handsome" she replied. Before she knew it, Robin leaned in and smashed his lips on hers, she soon responded after taking in the surprise. Their lips matched perfectly, and all their kisses were so passionate.
After a lot of kissing, the cute couple walked back to there blanket and dried their feet off from dipping it in the cool ocean water. They laid there together, as the most happy couple ever. Feeling so lucky to have each other. They got comfortable and Robin whispered sweet nothings in Regina's ear while she took it all in. She missed being complemented. Having Robin boosted her confidence level a lot. She finally had someone there for her, hopefully, forever and always.
