MANIK'S OFFICE

Manik walked into his office. He was full of anger. It was nothing new for the workers, they had always seen him angry like this. Like always they thought that something was wrong with the deal or clients, but today the reason was something else. Manik was angry at his own sister. His sister, Aliya , who he loved to the core. She was his best buddy, supporter, helper. He couldn't believe that she broke his trust.

He banged into his cabin and locked the door by the automatic remote. He went towards his chair, took off his coat and put it on his chair. He opened the laptop and started to check some emails. He was checking his emails but his mind was somewhere else. He saw an email from and unknown address. He got confused and opened it. There were some attachments. He opened the attachments and was shocked to see those pictures. The pictures were of Aliya  sitting in a boys lap, hugging him, kissing him. He was shocked out of his life. With those attachments there was a message. He read the message and was shocked. It was of the same boy who was in the picture with Aliya . The message had said:

Agar tum chahte ho ke Aliya  ki shaadi kissi bhi pariwar mein hosake to mujhe lakh do! Warna main ye pics Social media pe post kardunga aur media mein bhi, yeh kehke ke manik Mahlon  ki behan kya gaand phila rahi hai!!!
Isiliye chup chap mujhe 5 lakh dedo!!!! 

After reading the message he was shocked again. He couldn't believe the pictures he saw.
His anger had no limit. He got up from his chair and went to the window. He was about to punch the glass when he saw the wrapped bandaid on his hand. He remembered when Nandini  was doing the dressing of his hand. He remembered her tears.

His anger calmed a bit. He was lots in his thoughts when his office phone rang. He picked it up.

M: hello!

It was manik's pa.

PA: sir woh aap se kuch details discus karni thi!
M: Hmm theek hai tum ajao!

In a few minutes, his PA entered with some files. He had a huge smile plastered on his face. Manik got confused.

M: kya hoa hai tum itna khush kyun ho?
PA: sir is deal Keliye 50 companies ne demand ki thi including us, woh unn 50 companies mein se humein mili hai! Now aapka rank as a businessman is on no. 1!!! Apne Billy mallik se zada success hasil karliya hai! Abh woh no. 1 pe nahi no.2 pe hai!!!

Manik got happy hearing this. All Aliya's issue was forgotten. Manik's PA went out.

M: (mind) kitni ajeeb baat haina dad? Beta baap se zada successful hai jabke kissi ne uski help bhi nahi ki, aur baap nahi hai jabke uska dusra beta unke saath!

FLASHBACK

A lady was sitting in a small room, where there was one Big bed. On the bed there were cushions that had a ripped cloth. There was a sewing machine place infront of her. In the room, there was 1 bed and two small mattresses and a door which lead to a small kitchen and a door that lead to the bathroom.

The lady was wearing a white saree. She had a needle and some cloth in her hand. She was sewing it, when a 16 year old boy came inside the room, dressed in school uniform. He came and sat next to her.

Boy: mom yeh aap kya Kari ho?
Lady: manu Main yeh kapde theek Kari hun! Woh aaj shaam tak yeh Aunty ko dene haina!
Manik: mom aap plz yeh kapde na sila kare! Mujhe Acha nahi lagta!
Nyeonika: (cupping his face) meri Jaan agar main kaam nahi karungi to teri school ki fees kaha se ayegi?
Manik : aur aapne yeh kapde kaise pehne mom? White? I hate white!
Nyeonika: beta mere kapde se zada teri Padhai important hai! Jab tu bada hoga na to aapne dad ki Tara ekk Acha businessman banne ga!
Manik: zaroor banonga Lekin dad jaisa Insaan nahi! I hate him!

Nyeonika got lost in her thoughts and pricked the needle in her finger. Blood was oozing really fast. Manik got really tense and got hold of her finger.

Manik: mom dheke na kitna blood nikal Raha hai!
Nyeonika: beta jab tu bada hoga na to main woh bahu laongi jo mera aur Tera dono ka khayal rakhegi!! Aur Shayad doctor bhi ho!
Manik: mom please mujhe koi shaadi waadi nahi karni!
Nyeonika: kyun beta?
Manik: aapne bhi to shaadi ki thi! Kya fayda hoa?
Nyeonika: beta jo mere saath hoa uska yeh Matlab nahi hai ke wohi teri saath aaye!
Manik: (disturbed) mom plz chodiye iss baat ko!

Nyeonika sighed and started doing her work.

FLASHBACK END

Manik took out his phone and called his home phone number. The bell was ringing and Nandini picked up the phone.

N: hello?

Manik's breath hitched. Her sweet voice echoed in his ears. He was brought back when she asked again.

N: helloo?
M: umm Nandini  main hun!
N: (sad) main maa ko phone deke aati Hun!
M: nahi umm... ruko! Mujhe tumse baat karni hai!
N: (hurtful voice) mere se kya baat karni hai aapko?
M: Nandini  dheko mujhe tumhe thapad-
N: agar apko koi kaam hai to bataye warna mujhe Aliya  ke saath bahar jaana hai!
M: (sighed) umm woh tum mere liye kheer bana skati ho?
N: kheer?
M: haan woh jab tumne phele kheer banayi thi to Maine khayi thi!
N: (surprised) aapne woh kheer kab khayi?
M: woh Sab chodo tum...tum kheer bana lo! Main ghar araha hun!
N: Acha main jaati hun! 

He ended the call and took his stuff. He was about to close his laptop when he saw the email again. He got angry again and made a mental note to talk to Aliya about this matter.
