Contemporary

If you like 'Fangirl' by Rainbow Rowell. Then you'll like 'Anna and the French Kiss' by Stephanie Perkins; and vise versa.

Fangirl :

Cath and Wren are identical twins and until recently they did absolutely everything together. Now they're off to university and Wren decided she doesn't want to be one half of a pair anymore - she wants to dance, meet boys, go to parties and let loose. It's not easy for Cath. She would rather bury herself in the fanfiction she writes where there's romance far more intense than anything's she's ever experienced in her real life.

Now Cath has to decide whether she's ready to open her heart to new people and new experiences, and she's realizing that there's far more to learn about love than she ever thought possible.

I adore this book so much; It's one of the first contemporary novels I've ever read. It's so cute and relatable and warm hearted and cute and relatable and... relatable. I can never get enough of Cath/Levi moments. It's my second (or maybe even first) favorite book by rainbow Rowell.

Getting into it: easy

Humor: ...yes

Romance: SO CUTE 

Boring Parts: rare

Can Anna find love in the city of light?

Anna is happy in Atlanta. She has a loyal best friend and a crush on the coworker at the movie theater, who is just starting to return her affections. So she is less than thrilled when her father decides to send her to a boarding school in Paris for her senior year. But despite not speaking a word in french, Anna meets some cool new people, including the handsome Etienne St. Clair, who quickly becomes her best friend. Unfortunately - he's taken. And Anna might be, too. Will a year of romantic near misses end with the french kiss she's been waiting for?

*takes deep breath* I LITERALLY CAN NOT EXPLAIN HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS BOOK. Now that I got that out of my system... Anna and the French kiss is such a wonderful, cute, lovable, magical and amazing book. It's my favorite contemporary novel (well, the second book 'Lola and the Boy Next door is...) I recommend it to all readers out there. And don't worry, the book is not as cheesy as the title (it's not cheesy at all). God, I hate how such a great book can be ruined by the title! Anyways... Love it so much. A must to all readers.
