Family Vacay

Blurb.

Blake Hunter just graduated high school with flying colours, and all she wants to do is get on her board and live in the ocean for the whole 6 weeks of vacation, before going off to Uni. But as always she is forced to go on the annual family holiday to a private island, where her family has gone for the past 5 summer breaks, where the surfs awesome but she's had enough of the same old scenery, but when One Direction rent out one of the houses on the island for the summer will Blake like this new change of scenery or will it make her hate it even more???

It's that dreaded time of year, schools finished, parents are off work and when all I want to do with my 6 free weeks off school is to do nothing, go surfing and stay at home, but the parentals have other ideas, meaning family vacation!!

Hey family vacations are fun let me tell you, but going to the same place every year for the last 5 years does get well, BORING !!!

Hi, I'm Blake Hunter and guess what? Unfortunately I'm one of those Blake's that is a GIRL !! Parents made it kinda obvious they wanted a son!! ( I'd say naming me BLAKE was dads way of telling mum he really wanted at least one son to carry on the family name). I have long straight natural blonde hair which by the way runs in the family; see my younger sister Alex practically has white blond hair and Alex's twin Riley has a darker blonde hair colour like mine. And if you were wondering and I know you were wondering my parents finally second times a charm got their baby boy Riley.

I'm about 5'10 in height, I'm 18 years old, I have bright emerald eyes, which by the way I hate because everyone I mean everyone comments on them. I have light tanned skin, and some freckles across my nose. Overall not so bad at the end of the day I just blame genetics for the way I look! And really that's a bit depressing!! :(

See I should be happy I just graduated high school with flying colours, especially in health and physical education, science and scored really well on my music exams. I even got a scholarship to study at Yale University double majors in law and business (Business is dads plan for me, and also becoming a lawyer is his plan; but I do like the idea of 'Blake Hunter The Lawyer'). But all I won't to do is surf and make music, which is defiantly not a part of any of my parents plans!

But instead of going on the end of year trip travelling around Europe with my friends, I'm forced to go on family vacay. Fun !! Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice? Well if you couldn't it was there, trust me.

My father Sean Hunter is a highly successful business men, from hotels to cafe's my dad runs and owns them all. He works fultime all the time accept for the 6 weeks of summer vacation, it's the only time he has off, it's the only time he realises he has 3 children and I must say a beautiful wife. Every time I ask him why he does this he says "I'm not going to be like my father, I'm going to be there for my children. I will be able to provide for my family, I may be working all the time but I'm always going to have time to spend with you my children, no matter what".

And yes I said my dad is a successful business men, so yes you could say we're rich! We have a 3 story house, 5 bedrooms 6 bathrooms a swimming pool, a spa a pool table, a home theatre and we live in the great city of Los Angeles. You could say how lucky my sister, my brother and I are, but we are not aloud to touch anything in the house, its like we're in a museum with do not touch signs everywhere. So when we get home from school it's straight to our bedrooms and if we're lucky we might run into each other when going to the kitchen to get dinner for ourselves because nobody else is home.

You'd think if your husbands a successful business men you wouldn't need to work, you'd be a stay at home mum, oh hell no! My mother Nancy Hunter you may of heard of her. Yes she is the one and only Nancy Hunter the fashion designer, if she's not in her studio, she's off on business trips which manly includes fashion shows and shopping in Paris and Italy for fabrics to use to make her designs come to life.

So I have workaholic parents who like to spend 6 weeks of their amazing life's on vacation with their 3 children; who'd prefer if they just ignored them for the whole 365 days of the year.
