Gun shots rang out in front of West Philadelphia bar sending innocent bystanders running for their lives,as two heavily arm gunman unloaded automatic assault rifles into a crowd of people. When the gun fire ended all that was left on the scene was the smell of gun powder and a lifeless body. Aaliyah layed on her living room floor as the chaos played out right outside of her one bed room apartment she called home.
"I wish all this dumb shit would just end." Aaliyah said to herself as she pulled herself from off of the living room floor taking a peek out of the window only to witnesses a young girl holding the head of a lifeless body in her lap as blood covered the skin of her barely covered legs. All Aaliyah could do was say a silent prayer before backing away from the window.
Aaliyah stood in a trance like state in the middle of the floor as tears flooded her eyes and began to run down the cheeks of her caramel colored skin as thoughts of her other half lifestyle weighed heavy on her mind as it did every time violence in the city struck close to home.
The sound of her cell phone ringing snapped her out of her trance and brought her back to reality. Hurrying her way from the living room trying to make it to her bedroom where her cell phone layed on the night stand before it stopped ringing. Just as the other party on the opposite end of the phone was getting ready to hang up Aaliyah quickly answered.
"Hello,Hello" Aaliyah answered the phone.
"What up baby girl you ok love" Shafiq responed trying to bring a little bit of ease to Aaliyahs shooken state. He hated how Aaliyah stayed up late nights worrying about his well being as he ran the Philadelphia ghetto streets causing all kinds of mischief.
"No baby, I am so scared out my mind right now they were shooting again outside my window and it's a dead body out front. Where are you Shafiq?" Aaliyah said softly as the tears poured down her face more and more.
"I'm on my way to you now baby just calm down, relax and whatever you do don't open the door for anybody until I get there." Shafiq, told her as he raced down the street in his brand new Mercedes Benz CLS550.
Aaliyah obediently followed Shafiqs orders as slight ease over came her knowing that her better half and soon to be father of her unborn child was safe and on his way to comfort her and her worries.
