The boys shrugged at the Warden's odd behaviour and they went back to work, or at least that's what she thought. The boys whispered (seductively) to each other about Louise. "What's wrong with her?" Stanley asked the boys. They shrugged, "Yo, Squid when you saw her the other night was she like this? Did you find anything out about what's wrong?" X-Ray asked, shoveling his last scoop of dirt out of the ground. Squid shrugged,"No, I didn't find anything." Squid said. "You're useless, you know?" X-Ray said, but he was grinning. Stanley spoke from his hole,"Maybe we should call someone? Like the police" "One problem, we don't have a phone." Armpit said crossing his arms. "No, but the Warden does." The boys looked towards the humble voice that belonged to Zero, which Stanley loved, but wouldn't admit it to himself. 'I like girls, girls, not boys, not Zero.' But he thought of the girls at his school, mean, rude, gossipy, 'But not all of them are bad...yes, I like girls.'He kept reminding himself but Zero was just so-so perfect. Stanley shook his head and paid attention to what the boys were saying. "So we sneak into the Warden's office? That's suicide." X-Ray said putting down the outrageous idea. Stanley glanced at Zero,"But we want to know, and we can do it, we're technically criminals." Stanley said shrugging. The boys looked towards X- Ray, 'The Leader'. X-Ray sighed, "I guess we can do it."

"Hey everyone..." Zero said shyly, and for some reason that made Stanley blush, "Back at the yellow room.... there was a show I used to watch...Paw Patrol..."

"Oh I've heard of that show!" Stanley blurted out then group D stared at him

"Anyway" he sweetly giggled "I-well I sort of have (a crush on stanley), well I sort of... I don't know how... but i have the number" he paused a moment. " Could we please try it!" he accidentally yelled. The boys were stunned because this was the most they had ever heard Zero say.

"Why not let's give the boy a try" X-ray said cooly.

"Yea lets try it..." Stanley murmured deep in thought. They decided to attempt at Zero's idea because the boss said than they would try to call the police. "This better work guys, I can't handle that much more of this" Zigzag said, meaning time at camp.

" Oh don't worry, it will" X-ray claimed

They weren't sure how to go about sneaking into the Warden's cabin, and after a few minutes of conspiring, Stanley found himself peeking through the window of the Warden's cabin, barely breathing. 'No Warden in the room?' His heart jumped with both excitement and anxiousness. Quickly, he turned around to point a thumbs-up in the general direction he remembered the rest of his cabin-mates being in and just hoped that they caught his signal.

He quietly opened the door and left it open just in case the Warden came out of her bedroom and he needed to escape, and also just in case he closes the door too loud and she hears him. "Okay...phone..."

He scanned the bookcase to the left. None there. No device on the desk. He noticed the makeup bag and opened it, but only found a collection of makeup products from brands his mother didn't use (there was a familiar-looking lipstick tube somewhere in there, though). Finally, Stanley resorted to the risk of opening and closing the drawers.

The first drawer were files. When Stanley opened it, he looked to the left and saw the eyes of Group D. Though he couldn't define who Zero was, he knew that he was there and felt 10x more watched up to that point. 'God, why am I thinking about Zero?''

The second drawer was also a no-show, just a few artifacts that Stanley assumed campers found in the desert and delivered to the Warden, like the fossil he had found.

He frustratedly opened third drawer, it was empty. Stanley sighed, shaking his head, and looked around the room once more. That was all the furniture in the room, aside from the strange hat and sneakers. He thought nothing of them, and he wasn't going to try his chances with the bedroom, or the bathroom attached to her bedroom.

Stanley shook his head towards the window. Somehow, they looked less visible than before, and he got the heck out of there.

He crossed the threshold, closed the door, and ran out of there as quickly as he could and on the soles of his feet to avoid making too much noise.

"Guys. Guys, I couldn't find a phone," he panted when he reached where Group D was. Instead of seeing his friends, however, when he looked up facing the scowling Warden. She was dressed in pajama shorts and a CAMP GREEN LAKE shirt, her gray-ish auburn hair loose and at her shoulders instead of in a tight braid. Strangest of all, she looked like she was tired. Sleepy tired. Still, it scared Stanley.

"Group D is back at their tent." She stated matter-of-factly. "I caught them. They'll all be facing punishments tomorrow."

"...may I?" Stanley gulped.

"Do what?" The Warden cocked her head.

"Join them, at the tent."

The Warden smiled dryly. "No, I think you need to be handled personally."
