It was the day of Diana Torres' daughter, Kimberly's graduation. They're sitting down in the gymnasium of the school.
"Where's Ryan?" Diana asks her youngest of three, Michael.
"How am I supposed to know?" He replied. The ceremony has begun and Ryan still hasn't arrived. Kimberly begins walking across the stage to get her diploma. She shakes hand with principal and returns to her seat.
Moments later, the ceremony ends and they all return to the house for Kimberly's graduation party. When they arrive to the house Diana calls Ryan. No answer.
As people begin to arrive Diana gets more worried wondering where is her oldest son who should've flown back from Albuquerque this morning. Eventually Ryan arrives.
"Hey mom!" Says Ryan as he hugs his mother.
"God dammit Ryan! Where were you? You missed your sister's graduation!" Diana says angrily
"Sorry, I forgot to buy my tickets online and when I got to the airport they were out of tickets for the plane at 7 and I had to wait 'til 12." He replies
"I'm just glad you're here!" She kisses his cheek. "Now go ask Mr. Moore from next door to come get a plate of food to eat."
"Okay fine" Ryan replies.
As he walks he passes by Michael.
"Hey Mike! Come here" He tells Michael.
"What?" Michael asks.
"Come with me to go invite Mr.Moore." Ryan tells Michael.
"Umm, I don't think so." Michael begins to walk off.
"You're coming!" Ryan grabs his arm and takes him to front door of Mr. Moore's house.
Ryan stands at the door debating onto knock on the door or not.
"So umm are you gonna knock?" Michael asks Ryan.
"Yes." Ryan says and knocks.
You can hear Mr. Moore's footsteps on the other side of the door. Walking all over those old wooden floor boards. Mr. Moore opened the door.
"Hello, Ryan. You're back from college?" Mr.Moore asks Ryan.
"Yeah, I came for my sisters graduation and my mom was wondering if you wanted to come and eat?" Ryan replies.
"Sure." He says as he closes the behind him.
They walk over to the backyard of their house.
"Hello, Mr.Moore." Diana welcomes him and shakes his hand.
"Please call me Caleb." He shakes her hand.
"Well, Caleb. Do you want a plate?" Diana asks.
"Sure." He replies.
