The kid that were slaughtered by the bullies learned something new he was thought by Bloody Mary to do some tricks about possessing mascots like the poltergeist but it can be only spelled through things and objects while he is in spirit form he can do things what he wantvhe lead the souls of the 4 children to the mascots to seek their revenge so he gave lives to the 4 children
a chance to kill the one who killed them, to seek their revenge, but he don't know that the killer was his father

so when the time that Luther was chasing him Luther already forgot him he was unpleasant and depressed about his dead son
the reason why he go back is to burn the place and he left like nothing happened he feel some sinister that would happen and a couple days later the 4 dead children planned something something that could kill him, The trap that they set during Luther was chasing after the boy and so after that, Luther fell in to the hole full of knives which causes to pierce his whole body and the blood splattered around the place. they were successful they were free from now on they sought their revenge against Luther
