Brace For It

The Diversion

I woke up to the sound of someone rummaging through draws and instantly was terrified.. I slowly got out of bed, grabbed my dads machete and slowly walked out of my bedroom. As i got to the kitchen I saw the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Long ginger hair pulled up into a beautiful ponytail, freckles spread over her nose fading onto her rosy red cheeks, bright blue eyes and stunning plump lips. Not to mention her body was absolutely flawless.. She was just gorgeous. She looked up and she looked horrified... She backed up and slowly walked to the door when I only just had the confidence to say something. "No, wait.. Stay" She looked at me, her blue eyes shimmering in the sun. "Why would you want me to stay? I was taking your stuff.." And somehow I turned into someone with triple my confidence and piped up with "Anyone as cute as you could get away with murder!" Oh no. What have I done..  Her whole face turned red and she looked down to her feet.. "I'm so sorry... I'm never like that.." I was just as embarrassed as she was, until she responded with "Don't worry, anyone as cute as you could get away with murder" and winked. Oh my god she was flirting with me. Now I was the one with a red face. Great. "So, what's your plan for this whole thing?" I jumped when I heard her voice.. "Oh, yeah. I'm. Uhhh. Going to try find my orthodontist to get my braces off..." She laughed "You serious?"

"Yeah, I am.."

"Wow, you're determined! Want a partner? I'm all alone and I need some help finding my mum... She got taken by the zombies but shes a kick boxer and I saw her get away.. I just don't know where she is.."

"Oh wow.. I'd love a partner... I just gotta get to the library and read up about zombies... I have no idea how to deal with them..."

"Seriously? I'm a zombie movie fanatic! I know almost everything to do with zombies! So we don't really need to go there anymore, do we?"

"Yeah, I guess we don't"

"Awesome, I'm going to get going. Have any  weapons?"

"Yeah, this machete and a shotgun"

"I'll take the shotgun and lets go find my mum!"

"Okay. I'll go grab it and my other stuff and we'll go"

"Okay, lets do this"

I grabbed my stuff and gave her the gun. She was so confident and just walked out onto the street and started running. I was shocked. But I eventually run up to her and followed close behind. We got to a house I'm guessing was hers and it was awesome. It was super fancy. We walked in and she got me a drink and an apple and we sat down just to relax. I was so relieved I had found a person that I could work with and she knew everything I needed to know about zombies. Thank god.
