Long ago, three hooded figures hid behind pillars in a courtyard, from two sorcerers. The first figure nodded to the others, at they stepped out from behind the pillars, revealing themselves. The first figure, the leader, took of her hood. Snow fell heavily on her cloak.
The sorcerers raised their hands, and pale blue light flooded the courtyard. The other figures lifted their hoods. The second, was a man, a knight sent by the king to arrest the sorcerers. The third and final was young Prince, sent by his father to oversee the witches arrest.
In the kingdom of Alanbas, witchcraft was thought to be the cause of death, and sickness. Not all sorcerers were truly guilty or bad, but the two witches that stood in front of the knight, the Prince, and royal advisor, were guilty indeed. Years of causing suffering, pain, heartbreak, all because they had tricked people into giving them whatever they wanted, in return for something they truly desired. But the story never ended happily. After three days with what they desired, the sorcerers took someone they loved, and demanded their desire, for their loved one. If they didn't get what they asked for, they killed the prisoner. Then they still demanded what they wanted.
For the knight would know.
His father was tricked into getting what her wanted most. True love. Right after he got what he wanted, it was taken away. And both his true love, and him were killed.
"We know why you've come," said the first sorcerer, in a ghostly voice.
"Yesssss..." the second sounded so much like a snake, that the young Prince looked around, trying to locate the slithering creature.
"You, both of you, are under arrest!" The knight shouted. "You caused pain, and suffering for my father, and I will get revenge!"
"Ahhh, yesssss. The knight, we gave him what he wanted, and he died fighting usssss." The woman with the snake voice flicked her forked tongue.
"We aren't here to talk about that!" The Prince shouted. "You are under arrest, by command of my father!"
The ghostly woman took a step towards the trio. The snake like woman followed.
"Now, you die!" The two sorcerers raised their hands and thrust them out. Blue and purple light flew toward the knight, raced through his chest, and hovered above the ground. The Prince stared in horror, as the knight fell, dead. The royal advisors yelled,
"Run!" And also fell, blue, ghostly light seeping through her lips, then, her breathing stopped. The Prince got one last glimpse at the sorcerers, before he ran to the woods, fleeing from the courtyard, running until he reached a dirt road. A wooden cart drove by. The Prince yelled for its attention, and pulled out a gold coin.
"Please, take me to the castle." The Prince pleaded.
"Alright, young warrior." He got in the wagon, and paid the driver. She pulled off her hood, and her striking green eyes stared at him. "Ssssince you ssssaid pleasssse."
