As Isaiah started to fall asleep, he thought of the trip to the woods that they had all planned.
Isaiah had an old Bus that he drove all of them up there in,
"Why did we come up here?" Jordan asks Isaiah.
"Because," Isaiah replied, "we wanted to go on an adventure and this was the first stop."
"On our trip... Right." She said.
"I mean besides getting the old school bus and turning it into an RV."
"But I dont see why the mountains," she says, " its winter, we are gonna freeze."
"Because" he said again "don't you remember that we planned this trip at this time because A. our bus came with a big box full of snow chains to help us navigate and B. because the woods are beautiful at this time of year."
"I dont remember that." She says laughing
"Well I mean I can turn this bus around and go home right now." he says in a voice mocking a parent
"Um no. I came up here so I plan to stay a little while."
"Okay but I was just saying I'll turn this bus around if you sass me one more time. I'm the only one who can actually drive it." He said. They had already picked up Sam who was sitting in the back playing mine craft.
"SAM GET OFF YOUR PHONE!" Jordan yelled.
"No you can't make me," says Sam, "Your not my mom."
Isaiah slams on the breaks causing Sam to fall into the floor because he was sitting in this seat sideways "OUCH!" Sam calls out as Isaiah and Jordan start laughing.
"Well if you would pay attention that wouldn't of happened."
Jordan says laughing.
"Isaiah you are an ass!" Sam screams from the back of the bus "Why did you slam on the breaks?!?" He adds
Isaiah says "I don't know... There was a deer...or a bunny? Something was there. You saw it didn't you Jordie?"
"Oh yes it was a big bunny!" She says.
"Like New York City sewer rat size," Isaiah said chuckling.
"Yep Sam I'm surprised you didn't see."
Isaiah starts driving the bus up the steep slope of the street as it starts to snow more heavily.
Sam Climbs back into his seat with a displeased look on his face
"Sam why so sad?" Jordan says.
Sam snaps back "I'm not sad okay I'm pissed. You guys are being assholes!"
"But you dont get pissed easy yet you got pissed by that?!"
Sam does not respond.
Isaiah grabs a plastic bottle out of a trash by the stairwell of the bus "Here Jordie throw this at him!"
"What the fuck is in here?!"
Before he could answer he woke up to something scraching at the rock door
He shakes Jordie and leaps out of bed to grab the gun
"Why the fuck did you wake me up?!?"
"There's something.... Out there!!"
"What is it?!?"
I have no clue! All I know is it was something scratching" he says urgently.
"There is a rock there its not like its gonna break through!"
All of a sudden they hear a splintering crack.
"OH SHIT I WAS WRONG!" Jordan screams.
The crack turns to a hole then the big beast is in the cave with them.
