All because of the Bite

Chapter 7

Nick

I woke up with a frown on my face, recalling of what all happened last night. Then it turned intro a smile maybe that bastard became smart and left. I lean over to kiss Malory on the forehead, it pains me to leave her but I must. 

I made myself presentable and head down to meet my beta and my third, along with Jack. 

"Good morning. Please tell me you have good news." I say tiredly but firmly.

"Unfortunately he's still here, alpha." My beta seems to be the bearer of bad news. 

I sigh. 

"Okay then, this guy must be here for something good. he better be or else he is not going to see the light of another day." I say furiously as my fists clenches." 

"One problem, he's not on our border." Jack adds brining more bad news to this situation.

"Of course he is." I say upset. I guess that leaves me no choice but to talk to him. Alright we need to make a plan. We can't walk out there blindfolded."

"But were not. Are we?" Christian asks clearly lost.

"No." I start to say like are you stupid. "Its figure of speech." I say more campy and reasonable.

"Okay so whats the plan." Jack asks wanting to move on and get serious.

"You said he came alone right?" I ask Jack.

"Yea."

"That doesn't mean he is alone."

"He's alone man, we can't smell any other wolves in the area." 

"That doesn't men that he doesn't have anyone with him. Others can be out of range, like way back, or he may be linking the rest of his pack. We must be cautious." 

"With our pack and guards we easily outnumbered him. We must stay on our toes and don't let anything of importance slip out to him that may be of value, hold your own as he will with his." I smile. "Your good friends and Im happy that you stand by my side as I have said many times, you guys make me become the Alpha Alex and I am."

I scan my eyes for the outsider and narrow once I see him. He has a different scent then the rest of my pack. He smells more like fish, and if he came from the pack down by the river then it would make sense. 

"You must be the Alpha." The near intruder said with a slight bow. 

I cross my arms and roll my eyes then give him a threatening look. 

"Did I do something?" He asks 'innocently.' 

I unfold my arms and step closer, centimeters away from the border and we can both go at each others throats.

"Why is that even a question its a statement." 

I sniff the air and smell the scent that I did a year ago and it firms up what I thought just a bit ago and feared for the past day.

"For starters you are almost on my land without any reason, no reason why you should be here." I give him a slight shove.

He growls. "I wouldn't do that if I were you, like you I have eyes everywhere."

I knew it, he's using us, and I bet we are falling right into his trap. I need to stay calm though. 

Then two of his men popped out, I'm assuming his beta and and third. Then I see the beta and my heart drops. Those eyes, ones that I will never forget, and the scent. 

The beta's eyes fog over and he doesn't have a good look on his face. Then I see their alpha. His eyes is fogs over too and he has the same expression but it seems like he is trying to make sure everything is going to turn out a lll as it is and calm. 

"Why are you here." I ask pushing Alex down with all my strength. 

"Well thats complicated."

"Complicated how? By taking my land and my pack like you guys tried a year ago and killed my parents!" and with that I lung for him my eyes shift and Alex has complete control. He tries to bite their alpha in the face, then he shifts into his wolf and he attacks back. I hear other popping noises and I know my that his beta and third shift into their wolves and Alex might be screwed.

I know my pack members stand guard in case they roll onto my land, but I don't want to jeopardize my pack, not Jack,nor my third, not even my beta, but then I hear more ripping and the scent of their wolves along my side fighting with me. The playing field now is leveled and we can and will kick their sorry little asses back to their pack crying all the way home and be too scared to come back.

Somehow throughout the mess all six of us manage to stand on all fours again and we shift back, our rip clothes barely on us and barely covering anything. Luckily no girls is on shift at the moment. 

"How is it complicated." 

"I came here for something else, but it has seemed like I may have to bargain more then I want." 

"What do you mean?"

"Well unfortunately." He starts. "You or I may not like it, but we must overcome our past in oder to accept my future and yours."

"Which is?" 

"I found my mate. and Im afraid that she is in your pack. I smell her scent she's on the other side of the border, and she is hurt, and afraid." 

Oh no. I shook my head. This can't be possible. Elizabeth is going to kill me if I do one thing, and this alpha is going to kill me if he doesn't get what he wants, so either way I'm dead, and not to mention the safety of my pack. Dear lord be with me. Im in for a rough few days, probably weeks, and here I was thinking my day couldn't get worse. Whats next? The way my luck has been going, something not good.

I feel really bad for Nick. He's a nice guy and he does not deserve this. But more importantly you guys don't deserve waiting for months for the second chapter. I really want to thank you guys for sticking in with me, and honestly I probably would have given up on it if I was in your position. So I will follow everyone who has been with me from the start to here at this moment as long as you vote, just so I know who you are. :) Thanks guys! 

So I will be getting into weekly updates from now on with school not in break anymore and now I have drivers ed. It may be at times a bit later, sorry about that but those are my top priorities. I hope you guys understand. Okay thanks again for the millionth time.
