Falling For Two

In Nikole's p.o.v.

I wake up to someone ringing my doorbell over and over again. I role over and look at the time "10 am?" I groan. I hurry up out of bed and throw on my robe, that was laying on the chair next to my bed, and run downstairs. I open the door to see my best friend, Skylar, with 2 suitecases. I rub my eyes and ask, "Whats up with the suitecases?"

"The clothes and makeup for tonight!" she says excitedly, pushing through the door into my house.

Me and Skylar have been best friends since the first grade. She pretty much lives with me, because her parents are always traveling and she doesn't like being left home alone.

"What are you doing here so early?" I shout as I go lay down on the couch, attempting to go back to sleep.

"The halloween party is today!" she says as if I am suppost to care. "So? That's at 8 tonight! It's 10 o'clock in the morning!" I say annoyed , I do not want to go. She rolls her eyes and pulls me off the couch. "Come on! We have to get ready, everybody is going! It's the biggest party of the year! I am not going with out you! Now, come on , lets go upstairs!"

We got to my room to find my brother, Liam , passed out on my couch in nothing but his boxers and a blanket around his head.

"Liam?" I yell, "Why are you sleeping in my room?" Skylar runs over to him and starts jumping on him.

"What are you doing? Get out of my room!" He yells punching the air trying to get skylar off of him. "This is my room!" I say. Liam says "What?!" In an obviously hungover voice. He gets and looks around the room. "Im sorry... I got home late last night and i thought this was my room." He says as he sits up putting his head in his hands with a headache.

I walk over to him and tell him to get up, "Liam, were you drinking last night?" I said sternly. He sighs, "Yes..." I give him a glare. "You said you were gunna stop. You can't get caught again." Last year Liam got busted for public intoxication and had to pay a very large fine and spend 30 days in a Juvinile Detention Center, also known as juvy, for underage drinking in public. "I know i'm sorry."I walk over to him and help him up. "Come on, lets take you to your room. Go lay down, I'll bring you some water and pills to help your head, Ok?" Patting his back I walk him to his room, which is right next to mine, and lead him to his bed.

"Lay down. I"ll be right back!" I say running downstairs and grabbing a water bottle and medicine to help his head.

I run back to his room setting the items on his side table. "Get some rest I'll cheak on you later!" I say and walk to the door. "Nikki?" He says as I turn turn around.

"Yeah?"

"Thanks. Love ya"

"Love you Lee" I chuckle as I walk out, going back to my room to see Skylar all the stuff from her suitcases onto my bed and make up vanity, which was very large.

"You ready?" Skylar says as i walk into the room to sit on the bench by the vanity.

"Yup" I say. As she is putting on my makeup and parting my hair she asks me, "Is Liam ok?"

"Yeah, he is fine now." As she picks up the curler and starts curling my hair she says,

"Maybe you will find a guy tonight"

"Doubt it, are you bringing anyone?"

"Yeah I'm thinking of bringing Nick!"

"Nick Roy?"

"Yeah, I really like him"

"Oh" I said sadly but then i remembered I have to be happy for her so i said,

"Yeah! That's great! I hope he comes!" "Yeah, me too!" I could tell how happy she was and I didn't want to ruin this for her. Me and Nick used to kinda be together. It was mainly us sneaking around and going on secret dates. We decided to go public with it, because the thing we had was going on for 8 months, and we both loved each other. We said it multiple times. I know I actually meant it. But when I was about to tell Skylar, she was in the middle of asking out nick. But he didn't know what to say so he said, "Yes" because Nick is a nice guy. After that all happened we went back to his house, with Skylar and i saw how happy he made her so I called it off. It was by far the hardest thing I have ever had to do. That was a month ago, now him and Skylar are still together. To be honest, it is tearing me to pieces. He still texts me that he loves me, and I tell him I do too. But I will not get back with him now... I look at Skylar whos on the phone with Nick asking him if he can come tonight. She smiles like i have never seen her smile before whenever she talks to him. I can't stand it.
