Falling For Two

Chapter 2

A tear rolls down my cheek and I quickly wipe it off. I look at the time, 3pm. Already? I can already tell tonight is going to be a long night. I hear skylar get off the phone. "So is he comming?" I ask her as she sits down next to me on my bed.

"Yes!" She says sounding excited.

But I knew tonight isn't gunna be as fun as I thought it was going to be. Skylar gets up and runs over to my closet.

"Okay, lets see what your going to wear tonight!"

"I don't have any dresses to wear Skylar."

"Okay, i know what we are going to do!"

"What?"

"I'm going to take you shopping!"

"Right now?"

"Yes! It's already 3:30! Lets go!" She says as she picks up her perse. "But i'm not dressed!"

"Well just put on a shorts in a shirt!"

"Fine!" I say as i'm getting dressed.

"How about the mall?!" Skylar says as we are walking down the steps.

"Sure" I say as we walk out the door. So as we got in the car, she rolled down the hood, ( she has a convertible) and put the windows down, and cranked up the radio.

"How long have you liked nick?"

"Since last year in gym class"

"Oh, what do you like about him?"

"Well, alot but he's cute of course, nice, funny, great smile, and has a great personality!"

As she said that I was thinking about what she would say if i told her everything about me and Nick. Should I feel guilty? Either way I do. I usually tell her everything. I feel like i'm betraying my best friend. As we enter the mall parking lot, we find a parking spot and get out of the car and start walking to the main entrance.

"So what store do you want to look in first?"

"Uh, I don't know what store do you get party dresses?" Skylar would know she goes to the mall atleast once a week and she owns alot of dresses.

"Let's start off with Forever 21!" She says as we enter the mall. We walked right into Forever 21. As shes picking out like 20 dresses, im waiting in the dressing room waiting to try them on. She walks into the dressing room with 3 dresses. "Try these on! Go in the 4th stall! I'll be sitting outside of it to help you decide which dress!" So I walk into the 4th stall and I try on the first dress that was on top of all the others. It's purple and has a blue and purple sparkely sash going around the waste with a sweetheart neckline. As I'm about to walk out of the stall I hear Skylar say, "Are you almost done?" "Yes!" I say as i walk out of the dressing room stall.

"Wow!" She says with a hudge grin on her face.

"What? Does it look bad?"

"No! Not atall! You look amazing!"

"Thanks!"

"Put that in the yes pile for now!"

"Alright!" I say as I walk back into the dressing room to try on the next dress. The second dress was red and it was long in the back and short in the front, it had a silver sparkly sash going across the waste, and it was strapless. It actually looked good on me. As I walked out of the dressing room I saw that Skylar was speechless. So I knew that this was the one.

So as we were waiting in line to buy the dress I saw Nick pass. He of course saw Skylar and came into the store. it was awkward to be around him still. As they sucked face i bought my dress. he said hi but i didn't respond. So for the rest 3 hours ,we walked around in different stores and got our nails done. We bought a couple things. As I was in the car on the way home I looked at the time. It was 7:12 . I also got a phone call. It was my dad. What does he want? I thought to myself . So I picked up the phone.

"Hello?" I said.

"Hey Nikole, it's your father."

"Oh hey. What's up?"

"I have some big news!"

"What is it?"

"We'll it looks like we are going to Australia for a little while. I tried out a dating website And I actually found some. So we are gunna go have dinner with her family and see how it goes!"

"When?"

"We will go tomorrow!"

"Why all of the sudden? Why does it have to be tomorrow?"

"Because I said so! We will talk more about it later. Have fun at your party sweetie."

"Ill try. Bye"

I hung up. Wow. I can't believe I have to leave Skylar. Great, another thing for me to worry about. Maybe i could ask him if she could go with us. Tonight is defiantly going to be an interesting night. But I should at least try to have fun tonight. I know I could if I try. So I will try my best to not let anything to bother me. I am going to look great and I'm going to be with my best friend. That's all I needed.
