10 years later:
'One more day to summer' Jake thought 'one more day and you'll be free'. Jake walked through the school corridors to his locker to find he'd gotten a letter from his friend James, to meet at the park after school.
When he got to the park that day he was greeted by a very clumsy teen known as James. "Dude! How's it hangin?!" James exclaimed, falling over in the process. Jake only laughed then looked around. The only other person there was Tina, another friend if theirs. "Hey, did you call Falor here too?" Jake asked.
"That's the whole reason I called you here."
"Why is Tina the reason? Is she ok?"
"Tina has been acting weird lately. She's being shy, she freaks out just looking at her shadow, stuff like that."
"Are you sure that's Tina you're talking about? She's the toughest girl in school!
They looked over to see their friend looking at her reflection in a fountain and frown. Jake was beginning to notice how her reflection smirked back at her with fire in her eyes when Tina splashed the water and walked away towards the boys.
"Hey guys" she said simply.
Jake noticed how often she frowned at either her reflection or shadow.
"So what are we doin?" Said Tina, trying to look happy.
James jumped up and said,"we're not sticking around here long guys go home and get your swim suits we're goin to the pool!" He fell over on top of Tina's shadow which seemed to please her. The teens waved and went home to get their swim gear. At Tina's house, while picking out a swim shirt and shorts she heard an echoed voice that sounded similar to her own "why do you hate me?" It said
"I don't hate you, I simply don't trust you." Tina said absently
She knew this voice did not exist and that she asked herself these questions, but part of her fears what she is, so she hides it. And lately she hasn't been able to.
