I woke up from my nightmare in a sweaty, panting mess. It was already light outside so I assumed it was morning and time for me to wake up anyway. I reached to my bedside table and grabbed my phone. When I turned on the screen, I saw about 10 messages from Jay, And when I looked at the time, it read 8:25 AM. My assumption had been right, so I got out of bed and went into my kitchen to get a glass of water.
Once I got into the kitchen, Kayla was already sitting at the kitchen table, drinking coffee and reading her book. "Good morning," I heard her say behind me. "Good morning," I said back. As I turned my back around to face her, she looked me in the eyes and I could see concern written on her face. Before she had a chance to ask why I was so sweaty, I told her about my nightmare.
"What was your nightmare about? Jay?" She asked. She must have seen the confused look on my face because right after that she said, "I went through your texts with him last night when you fell asleep. That's really dangerous, you know? He could be a pedophile." I looked her in the eyes with an irritated expression on my face. "Jay is fine. The person I should be worried about is you.. You went through my texts?"
She gave me a look that said 'Don't play with me' and then said, "I was concerned for you." I just shook my head and ran into the bathroom. She chased after me and when I closed the door, she kept on knocking and saying she was sorry and it was wrong. "There wasn't even anything there, Kayla. We've only been talking for 2 days. It's not like I'm giving him our address." She told me that she knew and she was sorry and I told her I accepted her apology but I needed a shower. She backed away from the door and let me shower.
During the shower, I remembered all those texts I had from Jay. Then I put two and two together and realized Kayla may have sent him a text. At that point, I hurried my shower up and wrapped a towel around myself. I ran to my room and grabbed my phone as quick as possible. I unlocked it and read the messages.

Why would it matter? We haven't even talked that long.

Cuz I can see us getting closer in the future. As friends, of course. I don't have many friends, you know. I get lonely.
To Jay:
Oh, okay. I'm sorry about that. I know how it can be.
From Jay:
So tell me more about yourself and I'll tell you more about me.
To Jay:
That sounds fun. Okay. Hmmm, well I'm 21, I'm in college, I live in an apartment with my best friend, and Justin Bieber is literally my life.
From Jay:
Niceeeee. I'm 22, I have a full time job, I live by myself in a house, and Justin is cool.
To Jay:
That's nice. :) Can I tell you a secret?
From Jay:
You can tell me anything bby
To Jay:
Well, I was being abused by my father... He came home drunk everyday and it was a shitty situation. But I was going through a great deal of depression and I was thinking about ending my life. I was useless to my own father so I didn't deserve to live, right? But then I found Justin and he changed my life forever. I escaped the situation and I came out of my shell and met my best friend and my life has been great from that point on.

Woah, I wasn't expecting you to go that deep..
To Jay:

From Jay:
No bby, its perfect. I'm really sorry you went through that shit. You don't deserve it. Want me to tell you a secret?
To Jay:
I'd love to here it.
It was a while before I got a reply back. In that time I finished a load of laundry and made some breakfast. I didn't have any classes today until noon, because one of my classes was cancelled. I was in the middle of eating when I heard the familiar buzz of my phone.
