Chapter One (Josh's POV)

I kept pacing back and forth as anxiety built up inside me. Maya hadn't been feeling well, lately. She had been vomiting a lot, and she had been having major stomach aches. I had began to worry that she was seriously ill... or worse.

"Calm down, Josh. I'm sure everything is fine," Maya assured me. She was sitting patiently in the chair in the examination room.

I sat beside her, "I'm just a little scared. I love you so much and I just don't want anything bad to happen to you."

"Awww! I love you, too, babe," she replied. I stared into her eyes and leaned in to give her a kiss.

When we pulled away, a huge smile appeared on her face.

Doctor Ford came into the room, and Maya and I immediately stood up.

"Is she okay, doc?" I asked.

"Yep. They're okay," Doctor Ford said.

"Oh, thank goodness," I said. Then I started to remember what he said. "Wait... what?"

Doctor Ford began to smile.

"You said they," I stated.

He kept on smiling.

"You mean... she's.... pregnant?" I asked.

Doctor Ford nodded his head.

"Oh my goodness! Josh... we're going to be parents!" Maya said,happily.

Maya leaped into my arms. I spun her around once as I hugged her. Then, I put her back down.

"When is the baby due?" I couldn't help but ask.

"The babies are due March third," Doctor Ford said.

"Wait... babies?" Maya asked.

"We're having twins?" I asked.

The doctor nodded.

"Oh my goodness! This is terrific!" Maya exclaimed.

I couldn't believe that we were going to be parents. After all these years, I thought to myself.

We walked out of the place, feeling all happy inside. It still blew my mind knowing we were having a baby... two babies.
