Chapter Three (Riley's POV)

"Happy Anniversary, Princess," a familiar voice said, quietly.

I opened my eyes slowly and saw Lucas kneeling right beside the bed.

"Happy Anniversary, Babe," I replied. A cheerful smile appeared on my face.

I gazed lovingly into his eyes as gave me a long kiss on the lips.

"I've got a surprise for you," he said. He took the covers off of me a lifted me out of bed.

"Wait, should I get changed, first?" I asked as I looked down at my pajamas.

"Nope. You look just fine," he picked me up in his arms and carried me out of the room, down the hall and down the stairs.

He stopped in the kitchen. He put me back on the ground.

I saw the kitchen island covered with a bunch of delicious-smelling foods.

"What's this?" I asked.

"I made us breakfast."

"When did you learn how to cook?"

"Vanessa and Maya taught me how."

"Aww! Thanks, Hon." I wrapped my arms around him and held him close. "I love you, Lucas."

"I love you even more, Riley."

"Yeah, that's not possible."

He and I began to lean in. His lips softly touched mine. As we compassionately kissed, he picked me up and spun me around.

Happily married for nine years, I thought to myself. I just couldn't believe that we had been married for nine years.

We heard a loud scream coming from upstairs.

Our lips quickly pulled away from each other's.

"Ah, Baby Aspyn," I said. Lucas and I ran upstairs, feeling absolutely cheerful.

There Baby Aspyn laid in her crib, bawling her head off.

"Awe!" I picked up Aspyn out of the crib and wrapped her up in a blanket. "It's okay, sweetie." I whispered as I cradled our five day-old baby.

She was so soft and sweet. She had majestic, blue eyes like Lucas and she had super smooth, baby skin.

Lucas wrapped his arms around my back and put his hands on Aspyn's head and legs for extra support.

I gave little Aspyn a kiss on the forehead. Her eyes began to twinkle beautifully. She began to quiet down.

"You want some food, Aspyn?" Lucas asked.

I handed Aspyn to Lucas and he carefully walked down the stairs into the kitchen.

He placed her in her little baby seat that was on the counter as he prepared a bottle.

I looked at him in admiration as he put the milk in the bottle.

He picked Aspyn back up and began to feed her.

I said a quick prayer to the Lord. Thank you for everything. For my darling children, my loving husband and my friends and family. Thank you for these many blessings, God.

I just felt so happy knowing that I have the greatest husband and kids in the whole entire world.
