"I can't believe how good he's getting, it's just not right or normal. No one just gets as good as he dose, especially him." said Astrid. She was at Ruffnut's house. In her defense it was Ruffnut that bought up the topic of Hiccup. Ruffnut nodded. She never really paid attention to Astrid's rants. "I just don't understand. He was hopeless. His name is Hiccup the Useless."
"Actually his name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third." said Ruffnut.
"I know but they call him Hiccup the Useless." said Astrid. "Ugh he annoys me. I want to know his secrets so bad. He goes somewhere after training for hours on end. Don't you think that's weird. I mean think about it, what if he's training with someone." said Astrid.
"Sounds like someones likes Hiccup." said Ruffnut nudging Astrid's shoulder.
"No way. That's gross. Why would I like him?" said Astrid. "I mean he so weak, abnormally smart, skinny, boney, small, different, un-Viking like and-and so, so, so........Cute." said Astrid.
"Wait what?" said Ruffnut.
"What? What did I say?" said Astrid pretending to not know what she was talking about.
"You said that Hiccup was cute." said Ruffnut with a smile.
"I did not I hate him. He is so annoying. He's just so good at training and that should be me not him." said Astrid.
"Sounds like you think he's good in the sack." said Ruffnut.
"I don't know why I bother talking to you." said Astrid.
"Because the only other person you can talk to is your mother, and she would have most likely said the same thing." said Ruffnut.
"Your right she would have, but no that's not what I think. And is that all you think about? I mean your always talking about Snotlout like his a sex machine." said Astrid.
"No it's not. I think about other things." said Ruffnut.
"Like what?" asked Astrid.
"Hurting my brother, hurting someone else with Tuffnut, killing dragons and how good of a couple you and Hiccup would make." said Ruffnut.
"You don't think about me and Hiccup going out do you?" said Astrid.
"I do actually."
"Ruff!"
"What?! I just think you would make good heirs." said Ruffnut.
"That's even worse! How can you think that! You are gross." said Astrid.
"I'm not, I just think your babies would be cute." said Ruffnut.
"Ruffnut! That is disgusting! How can you say or even think that! Ugh! That's gross! Never say that again!" said Astrid she started to freak out. If Ruffnut thought of their babies that means they would have sex, and that made Astrid feel sick. She hated the thought of having sex with anyone, let alone Hiccup. It was true she did like him, but she cared more about her axe than boys, so why was she talking to Ruffnut about this. "I don't even know why we are having this conversation." said Astrid.
"I do." said Ruffnut.
"Why?"
"Because you like Hiccup and your not going to admit it. I've seen you check him out." said Ruffnut.
"Okay so I looked at him once, that doesn't count I could check Snotlout out if I wanted to." said Astrid.
"Yea but you wouldn't check him out, you hate his guts, and you wouldn't check Tuffnut out. He would be too annoying for you. The only person left is Hiccup, and I know you wouldn't like anyone who is younger than us." said Ruffnut.
"Okay, okay. So what if I think Hiccup is hot. I mean he is the only good looking guy on the island but he's not the toughest." said Astrid.
"Astrid you really make no sense. First you say you hate Hiccup and then you say you think he's hot?"
"Well what do you think?" said Astrid.
"I think he is pretty hot but because he's weak and skinny I wouldn't go out with him, and he's not my type. The only one left is Snotlout and I like him. Why don't you just admit it."
"Admit what?" said Astrid.
"That you like Hiccup." said Ruffnut.
"I don't like him. I'm not just going to say I do when that's not true am I?" said Astrid.
"Yea, yea whatever." said Ruffnut. Ruffnut was the one who had invited Astrid over, and Astrid could leave whenever she wanted to. And that's what she was going to do. Leave. She was going to leave this conversation and this house now. "Ruff it's getting late, I think I might go home now."
"Okay see you tomorrow at training. And if you see Hiccup don't forget to check him out." said Ruffnut.
"Your such a tease. Oh and Ruffnut what is said in this house stays in this house." said Astrid as she walked out the door.
"Yep, sure, whatever you say." Astrid was so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn't notice Hiccup and ran into him. "Hi Astrid, hi Astrid, hi Astrid." Hiccup studded.
"Watch where your going." Astrid snapped.
"I am so sorry I didn't mean to run into you, I was looking at the stars and going to get Tuffnut." said Hiccup.
"I was just at the Thorston's, I think he was asleep." said Astrid then she started to walk away towards her house.
"Oh Astrid."
"Yes Hiccup?"
"It doesn't matter." said Hiccup and he kept walking to Tuffnut's house.
"Um yes it does." said Astrid.
"I was going to ask you why you were at Tuff's house, but it doesn't matter anymore." said Hiccup. This was the longest conversation he had with Astrid.
"I was talking to Ruff, and if she's says anything to you about me don't believe her, and tell me what she says so I can punch her if it's bad." said Astrid.
"Ah, okay." said Hiccup. They left and went on their own separate paths and that's when Astrid realized she really didn't want Hiccup to go. She wanted to talk to him. Get to know him more, but she didn't because he was socially awkward, especially around her.
