“I’m thirsty.”

“Wait here until I get you something to drink.”

“Okay dokey,” Of course I wasn’t going to stay here. There are too many adventures waiting for me in the woods.

I made sure that my brother was only concentrated on finding me a drink and I slowly stand and head for the forests that were to the left of my uncle’s boring parties.

My parents always told me to stay out of here, but it’s so pretty in here that I really have no idea why they would want to hide that from me.

I let my feet wander to wherever, imagining I’m a famous explorer looking for treasure.

I start getting bored until I find pretty pond filled with colorful fishes. I try to catch one with my hands but fail. Instead I focus on getting wet.

I then felt a quick breeze and saw five people standing in behind me. Three men and two women. They were really pretty.

            I finally spoke, “Hello.”

“Hello, little girl, where are your parents?”

“They went to the store. I’m with uncle.” I said innocently.

“Really? Isn’t he supposed to take care of you?”

“He’s at a party. He took brother and me with him.”

“Why aren’t you over there, then?”

            “It’s boring.”

“You shouldn’t be here. It is quite dangerous.”

“Then why are you here?” I asked curiously.

“We are the danger.” Then they all showed me their large teeth that are known to belong to the scariest creatures that only come from TV. Of course, that scared the heck out of me. I tripped backwards and hit my head hard on a rock. I instantly felt the world darken. Everything was tumbling back and forth yet I could still feel my body being lifted from the cold water.

My head was really hurting and I could hear my heart beat slowdown in my ears, but I heard the last thing that the beast said to me, “I’m sorry I have to do this, but this isn’t how you should die.” Then I felt something go into my neck. It hurt really badly so I screamed in agony.

I then heard another voice. It was a female’s voice, “On your seventeenth birthday, you will turn into a vampire.” Vampire? I knew what a vampire was and I didn’t feel like being something like that horrendous.

My body still ached but I managed to open my eyes and I saw a wolf standing next to my mom. My eyes shut once more as I heard the female’s last words. “You are not to tell anyone what happened. Never recall these events even if they are a simple dream. The second you say that we helped you, the next second you die. Never, I repeat, NEVER tell anyone what happened.”

3:12am

The one thing I hated most was waking up early when you had just gone to bed a few hours earlier. Why would I have a dream like this anyways? It felt so vivid and clear and the worst part is that I don’t feel tired anymore or sleepy. I have at least ten hours before everyone else wakes up. It being New Year’s and all. Everyone was certainly going to wake up late but now I was deprived from sleep. I had ten hours to do absolutely what I wanted. 3:13. only a minute has passed since I woke up.  I might as well right my dream down. Maybe my New Year’s resolution can be to right down all my dreams in a dream journal.
