"I'm not gay, Harry." Louis shakes his head as he looks at him,
"please understand that you were just an experience, I was just curious."
Harry has to ignore the way his heart shrinks as soon as he hears Louis say that.

"So, Briana really is pregnant?" He mutters quietly.
Louis sighs and nods his head. "We're really excited for this, Harry. I'd really appreciate if you could understand my side."
And then Harry lets out a laugh, and it's bitter and fucking sarcastic.

"Oh, I'm so sorry if I made you upset, mate." He says, laughing.
"It's okay." Louis whispers as if Harry's actually apologized.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" The long haired lad mutters. "Really, Louis?"
"It's okay if you're surprised and still not ready to accept-" Louis tries to speak, but his words are silenced by another bitter laugh.
"You are such a hypocrite, Louis." Harry shakes his head at him.

"Oh, and how's that?" Louis challenges him.

"I hate you." He says.
"No, you don't." Louis tells him then his vocal cords nearly failing.

"I do." It's all he says. "Is it mutual? Because we've discussed it."
"Harry-" He tries once again, but Harry only shakes his head.

"You are such a cold hearted person. I hate you." He says. "So idiot."
"Harry, we weren't even together-" He tries.

"Oh, weren't we?" Harry asks rhetorically. "So all those nights and words were bullshit?"
"No, Haz, that's not what I-"

"It's best if you shut up." He cuts him off. "Because every time you say something else, it makes it worse."
"Give it a rest, Tomlinson." Harry snaps. "Give me a fucking rest."

"So you won't support me on this? This isn't what friends do-"
"Oh." Harry parts his lips. "I'm so, so sorry for not being a friend of yours, but I really, really thought you were a friend of mine, too."

"Okay, so how about this?" Harry licks his lips as he looks deep inside Louis' eyes. "I'm gonna leave and we'll pretend it never happened."
Louis feels his heart crashing in two. This isn't what he was supposed to feel.

"I disappear and you can have your baby and your family."

"Because I'm sorry if I'm not being a good friend, Louis, but I won't stay here to watch you build a fucking future without me in it."

"I'm sorry," Louis' voice falters.

"No, you're not." Harry clenches his jaw. "You're never sorry."

"But I am." He tries once again.

"I hate what you've become, Louis." He tells him seriously. "I hate that I let myself fall this hard, and I hate you for letting me."

Harry turns around, making his way to their hotel room's door. As soon as he puts his hand on the handle, he hesitates.

"I love you."

Harry has to take a deep breath before he grips harder on the handle.

"I love you, Harry." Louis tells him, and Harry knows he's crying.

"Just not- not on the way you want me to." Louis finishes his words. Harry lets a single tear fall down his face before he opens the door.

Harry, deep inside his heart, still hopes, even if for a mere second, that Louis will stop him from leaving and tell him that it's a joke.

But at the end he doesn't.

And Harry doesn't like the fact that he's not even surprised.

They weren't meant to happen. It's all.
