Eve's POV

I woke up on a cold lumpy ground in the middle of nowhere. All I remember is being shoved into a black van with tinted windows and being blindfolded as the the van accelerated to god knows where.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't come in all willingly saying 'Ok guys lets go take a long ass trip in a white tinted van with no seats and you can blindfold me to make it all the more a surprise.' Yeah right.

I was grabbed harshly by my shoulders and literally booted in. That's gonna leave a nasty bruise later. After being shoved I heard something like glass shatter on the floor where I was once standing. 'Great.' I thought. The one thing I needed that could have helped me get out of this is gone.

Broken. Shattered. In pieces. On the floor. My one and only escape. Let me briefly explain what almost has me in tears. The "thing" that's in pieces is what we call a smart eye. It's basically just a contact lens that let's me escape to other domes or cities. Heck it even lets me travel to other dimensions.

It's also the only object we have to contact people or our family. I could have been able to get my pod over here but it's looks like I'll just have to wing it.

2 hours later

I was lying on my side closest to the side when the van abruptly stops. My body was lurched forward, the bottom of my back making contact with the door handle. I let out a small grunt trying as much as I could to wiggle my body away from the door seeing as during the ride over my wrists were tied together with a metal cord.

Subconsciously I rubbed my right hand on my left wrist trying to soothe the pain of the metal biting into my flesh.

The door to my back was jerked open. Rough hands grabbed me by my biceps hauling me out of the van and dropping me on a floor that felt like loose gravel under my palms. 'Where the heck did they take me?' I thought. 'Are they gonna kill me now and leave my body here to rot?' My palms started to get sweaty just at the mere thought of what these men plan on doing to me.

The blindfold was taken off by one of the men. Squinting up at the now midday sun, I quickly looked around me to get a better look at where I was. I was taken to a desert. Not just any desert but one where people back at home were exiled and left to die after committing a crime.

The man that took off my blindfold came to stand in front me and knelt down to be at eye level with me seeing as how I was now sitting up. "Do you know why we brought you here?" the man asked with a low voice. His cold grey eyes staring at me, waiting for my response to his question.

Looking away from the man I turned my head to the left seeing another person standing behind grey eyes with his arms crossed. He looked young. Maybe a few years older than me at most. Turning my gaze back to grey eyes I muttered "No, not really."

Grey eyes turned to look back at the guy behind him, both nodding before he turned his head back in my direction. "You are here because you, Evelyn Abryum, daughter of Theresa Marie Abryum, have been exiled from Asmrion." He said, his voice sounding distant. That was the last things I heard before my vision started turning black, falling back into the sand as I heard their heavy boots walk back to the van. The engine roaring loudly as they drove off.
