The Argo II

Chapter Two- The Argo II

I had just completed the Argo II. I had followed Annabeth's diagram, but added more to it. It was enchanted so if we were to need something for battle, it would appear in the newly-built armory on the second floor. There were four floors.

The first floor was the actual top of the ship. The second floor was for building or sparing or anything like that. The third floor was where the dining hall was, able to seat the 8 of us, as well as a few more. There was also a room with valuables in it. The walls of that room were enchanted to look like Camp Half-Blood, as well as Camp Jupiter. It showed moments of happy times; although I didn't add any of Annabeth and I. It hurt just to think about doing such a thing.

Anyway, the fourth floor was where the cabins were at. There was 9 of them, each with a gold platelet with someone's name on it. Except the last one. It was a surprise for Leo, who still hasn't been able to get to Calypso. I know where Calypso is, and I can get to her. But Leo swore on the River Styx, so he had to be the one to find her. That's who the room was for: Calypso.

The Argo II was also enchanted so that nothing would be able to break anything on the ship. It will come in handy a lot.

I made sure no one was at the center of Camp and shadow-traveled the Argo II to the center. Leo and Annabeth were watching from the side.

"Wow! Awesome!" Leo grinned and I sighed.

"I suppose. It is enchanted with an armory and nothing will break during an attack." I said.

"Percy, my boy. You have done well, as have you Leo and Annabeth. The others will be here soon, minus Jason, Hazel, and Frank, as they are at the other camp." Chiron said as he trotted up.

I nodded. "It will take a lot of time to get to Camp Jupiter, but that is a good thing. I've estimated the quest to be about 6 months without monster attacks. With monster attacks, it will take about 7 or more months."

Chiron nodded to me before I spotted Piper and Nico walking over.

"Ready?" Piper asked, smiling.

"Yes. Annabeth, Leo, please show Nico and Piper around the ship while I prepare to get us to California." I said.

Annabeth and Leo nodded while I melted into the shadows.

I reappeared on the top of the ship and hurried over to the control panel.

Festus blew smoke at me in greeting. Hello, Percy.

"Hello, Festus. Can you set the destination for Camp Jupiter in California?" I asked him as I set the controls.

It is done. Festus replied.

I thanked him as Nico, Piper, Annabeth, and Leo walked onto the ship.

I turned to the other control panel, flipping some switches and typing some things into a monitor.

"Festus, raise the sails and lift into the air, please." I told the figurehead.

The sails raised and the Argo II gently lifted off the ground.

While the others were looking around, I hit a button labeled 'shields'. Shields made of Celestial Bronze, Stygian Iron, and Imperial Gold moved to line the side of the ship, leaving no spot without a shield. A gold glow emitted from the shields as a protection enchantment.
