Chapter Two

30 minutes was all it took for the around 100 pack members to finish food prepare for 500 people and still complain not having enough food. Well, they are werewolves so it's completely normal. As they walk out of the pack house into the wood for training, the omegas who were assigned to clean the table start bringing the plates into the kitchen. Can you imagine cleaning at least 100 plates along with the silverware? Well, I can but it will probably take some time, so that's why we put it into the dishwasher and let it do its job. The pack alpha, Justin Collin was nice enough to buy us three dishwashers randomly one day, maybe he was feeling nice that day. Nah, I am just joking he was just really drunk that day because he had a party, so he went online and bought dishwashers. I don't know why he chose to buy three dishwashers, but I ain't complaining.

After putting all the plates and silverware into the dishwashers, it time for us, Omegas, to eat our breakfast. Our breakfast was just a sandwich with ham and a glass of water. Instead of eating in the dining hall like the other pack members, we have to eat breakfast in the west side basement and the prisoners are just kept on the east side, so I think what the alpha is trying to tell us is, 'We are not important at all'. Well, too bad because without omegas there will be no one to cook for them, there will be no one to clean their room for them, there will be no one to serve them. So, basically, the whole pack won't be able to live without us. However, no one seems to notice that simply because we can't shift or they think our power is useless to the pack. Isn't it funny, we, the omegas, are like the base for the pack, without us the pack won't be able to function properly. And yet, we are treated like trash.

There are around 10 omegas in the Fire Light pack, so when we eat we prefer to sit in a big circle since it's easier for us to talk. Addison a werewolf with water power decided to speak first, "I heard the vampires are going to visit us next week."

"No way!" Alexander exclaimed.

Unlike what the myths say, vampires and werewolf actually get along well, even though we are pretty different. For example, our appearance is pretty different, commonly, werewolves are known for their tan skin, dirty blonde hair and golden brown eyes, kinda like stereotype surfing people. However, vampire tends to have pale skin, dark hair and reddish brown eyes, they mostly look like nerds but really hot ones. Not like I have seen any vampire before. Other than the appearance, the way we live is also pretty different, werewolves have around 50 packs, ranging from 7 to 150 pack members in a single pack, each pack has its own alpha, and we get a yearly meeting for all the alphas to attend. Vampires on the hand have a single leader for each continent and a king, a queen to control them all. Like werewolves, vampires have a meeting for the leaders, the queen and the king, but instead of once a year, vampire have a meeting every two months. The person who wrote the myths about werewolf and vampires must have never met anyone of the species because vampires don't drink blood, they drain energy from red food, like an apple. After the vampire drained all the energy from the food, the 'food' won't look like food anymore, it will look more a rotten pile of mess. And, werewolf doesn't transform during full moon only, werewolves can transform anytime they want werewolves just feel more power during a full moon. Instead, of changing into half wolf half human thingy, werewolves transform into full wolves that are just bigger than normal wolves.

"Yes way!" Addison smiled mischievously, then lower her voice "I even heard it might be the royal family."

This sentence caught everyone's attention even Jason, a werewolf with earth power, who usually prefers not to gossip. The royal family of the vampires is the king and queen themselves with their children. The king and queen have 3 children, the oldest is the prince who is next in line of the crown, the second child is also a prince and the third child is a princess.

" Maybe one of us will find our mate," Zoe said while smiling sadly.

The Omegas is like a big family because we had been through so much together and we understand each other better than we understand our biological family. When one of us find a mate we will have to leave with our mate because according to the werewolf tradition, the mate with a lower rank with have to leave their pack and live in the higher rank mate pack. However, if they are both omegas then the female will go to the male pack and they will become normal pack members.

"Yeah," Jack spoke with his mouth full of sandwich. "But they will find happiness!"

Looking at his ridiculous expression, we all laughed and start talking about something else, pushing the sadness behind us.
