the new girl

CHAPTER 1: the first day

P.O.V-Cassidy

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. Today's the day that my sister (Kelsey) and I are going to our new schools, she's going to West Bank Middle School and I'm going to River Bank High School. My dad got a new job here in Victoria, so that's why we had to move here from L.A.

After a while of debating with myself about getting out of bed, i finally did and made my way to the bathroom to have a shower, wash my face and brush my teeth. Once that was all done i went back to my room to change into my outfit for the day, which is a white cropped sweater, black jeans with rips in the knee and black and white converses. For my make- up i like to keep it some what natural which for me is just concealer,powder foundation and mascara, for my hair i just left it as it was after i brushed it(my hair is brown and wavy naturally). As soon as i was done and happy with the way everything looked i went down stairs to eat some breakfast, i met my mom and sister in the kitchen and when we all finished our breakfast we grabbed our bags and my mom drove us to school.

Kelsey's school was our first stop but then it would be my turn. Car rides with my mom can be so embarrassing sometimes, she's always pointing out boys my age she thinks are cute and telling me i should find a nice boy to date. Once we were at my new school i got out of the car and said bye to my mom and made my way to the table in the school's foyer to get my schedule, locker number and locker combo. After i got those things i went to go find my locker which was number 369 with the 3 scratched out. i opened my locker and put the things that i wasn't going to need through out the day in it but right as i was about to close my locker someone else slams it shut. When i turned to look who did it, i was shocked to see a really cute guy smurking at me, i rolled my eyes and asked "Can i help you with something?". His smurk just grew bigger and he replied " why yes you can, by going with me on date this Friday to my friends party" i just brusted into laughter and shook my head and once i was able to breathe again, i replied by saying "no" and to that he said "oh but you will sweety" i just started glaring at him and said "what makes you think that I'm going out with you" with that the smurk was back and in full force "well, look at me I'm hot" he said gesturing to himself. i grabbed my bag and said to him " oh wow looks who's cocky" and i turned around and walked to my first class.

I walked into my first which was math (my lease favourite subject) i took the first open seat that i saw, after i had organized myself i turned to the person that sat next to me, who was this really gorgeous girl and i introduced my self to her "hi, I'm Cassie and i hope its okay I'm sitting here,it was the first open seat i saw" she turned to look at me and smiled when she answered "it's totally okay and hi I'm Courtney. Are you new around here?" i replied "yea i just moved here a few weeks ago" she said "oh cool, hey listen do you want to have lunch with me and my friends?" i then said "sure that would be great!".

When the bell rang to signal that math class was over, i headed to my next class which was English. There was an open seat that was on the left side of the class in the second row that i took and after i settled myself in the seat, i turned to talk/introduce myself to person beside me which was a really cute guy. "hi, I'm Cassie and you are?" "Tristan, are you new around here I've never seen you before?" "oh yeah,i just moved here" is what i said to him, but then he changed the subject (which was needed in this conversation) with "cool, do you like English?" "i guess so i mean i like reading and writing short stories. Do you like English?" is what i said and Tristan replied "not really but i like art" "oh cool, i like art too but I'm not very good at it" i said and then the teacher walked in and started the lesson.

Now it was finally time for lunch and Courtney met me at my locker and we headed to the cafeteria together, her friends were at the table. Once i sat down Courtney introduced me to her friends Katie and Aria who were both really pretty and Katie's hair colour is a dirty blonde colour and Aria's is a bleached blonde colour. All lunch we ate our food and got to know each other, i found out that Katie has 2 siblings, Callie (her young sister) and Callie's twin brother Thomas. Aria has a twin brother who's name is Tristan (yes Tristan from English), Courtney also has a younger brother named Jayson. They also told me to watch out for the group of "bad boys" at this school in case i didn't want my heart to be broken. The group of bad boys is Aria's brother Tristan Gray, Tyler Baker, Aaron Tucker, Henry Grant and Dylan Berry, they also said that Dylan was the worst of them all and to stay away from him. After the bell rang to end lunch and we were walking to our next class Aria said that her brother was throwing a party at their house this Friday and she invited us all to it, "you guys can also stay the night if you want" Aria said and we all said yes to staying the night.

My next class was history (it's not my favourite but i don't hate it either). i walked into the class the class and no one was there yet so i got dibs on any seat in the class so i chose to sit in the second row from the back on the far right side. About 5 minutes later someone tapped my shoulder when i turned around i saw this really cute guy stand before me and he asked "is this seat taken?" "oh no it's not taken" i said and he smiled and sat down. He turned to face me and said "hi I'm Tyler and you are?" "Cassidy but some people call me Cassie" is what i said to Tyler, " Well Cassie, it's nice to see you again" Tyler said, "again? when did we see each other?" i asked confused and he answered "we met this morning at your locker sweety" and with that the smurk was back on his face, i just rolled my eyes and then i remembered about this morning "that was you?! your the cocky jerk?!" "cocky jerk? more like hot jerk and yes it was" is what he said and at that i laughed. Then the teacher started talking about our assignment.

My last class was science and i had that with Aria and Katie and then when that class was over the bell rang signaling that it was the end of the day. I said bye to Aria and Katie and headed to my locker, when i was just about to open my locker i was turned around and pushed up against my locker by some really strong and hot guy. I heard people around us cheering "GO DYLAN" and that's when i realized it was the bad boy that Courtney,Katie and Aria had warned me about. "hi hottie, the names Cassie right?" Dylan asked, choking on my words as i said "yeah h-how do you know my name?" "wouldn't you like to know, anyways i heard you were going to Tristan's party this Friday" no longer choking on my words i said confidently "i was planning on it why do you care?" "just checking, i guess I'll see you there and maybe I'll save you a dance" Dylan said with a smurk, "what makes you think i want to dance with you?" "because of your hidden attraction for me" he replied rolling my eyes at him i said sarcastically "yeah,okay, sure". i pushed Dylan off of me and turned around and opened my locker and got all my things and put it into my bag, shut my locker and walked out to the front of the school to wait for my mom to pick me up.

When i got home from school i ran up to my room shut the door and changed into comfy clothes aka sweatpants and a base ball t-shirt. I also take off all my make-up and put my hair into a high messy ponytail. "DINNERS READY KIDS" mom yells at us from down stairs and me and Kelsey raced down the stairs to the dinner table ready to eat. My parents ask us how our first day went and Kelsey tells them about her new friends and i tell them about Cortney,Katie and Aria. "and speaking of Aria she's having a sleepover thing this Friday and i was wondering if i could go?" "well, i suppose you could" my dad said, "yes thank you!" i replied and put my dish in the dishwasher and ran up to my room to text Aria that i can go. After texting Aria that I'm coming on Friday, I head to my bath room to wash my face and brush my teeth. When i got back to my room i turned off my light and get into my bed and of course i have to go on my phone and check my social media and turn on my alarm and then i fell asleep.
