My breath was coming out in quick, short puffs and my feet were hitting the hard. My legs were aching, my head was pounding, and sweat was drenching my body. I wanted so desperately to stop and curl up on a park bench and sleep until work. I couldn't, though. I needed to finish this. This way, I could feel and look better. I eventually reached the marker, which showed the end if my two mile run. I immediately collapsed onto the nearby bench and gulped the remainder of my water. As I let out a sigh of relief, I watched a man a little ways away at his car.
He was tall and dark haired with broad shoulders. There was a serious look on his faces and the lines told me that he had seen horrific things in his time. I had seen him there before. He was very in shape. We usually ran around the same time, and everyday for the past two three weeks he has lapped me. I have been wanting to talk to him for some time, but I can't bring myself to do it. He's obviously much older than me, I being twenty-five.
I took one last lingering glance at him before going to my car. I needed to get home and shower before going into work. I worked at a small diner in the heart of Quantico. It wasn't much, but it was enough for just me. It kept me semi-happy and busy. I was a waitress, so the constant moving helped with my weight loss.
Ever since I was a child I had been overweight, but by the time I was twenty-six, I was one hundred and ninety-six pounds at my height of 5'5". After certain events, I decided to lose weight. It has been three and a half months and I'm already down to one hundred and fifty-two pounds. Its taken a mix of exercise, fat flushing drinks, and healthy meals. This is also known as hell. It was the start of a new me, though. During that period of my life, many new things came about. Little did I know that a giant change would come named Aaron Hotchner.
