Chapter One

*Batman's POV*

"Why can't I just get a striped candy?" I said playing my guilty pleasure, Candy Crush Saga.

Yes,I Batman. Love the addicting game Candy Crush Saga. I decide to take a break and take a sip of my frappucino.

"Not bad" I say after taking a sip.

I look around the coffee shop. Chipping walls, dim lights,waitresses that couldn't care less about customers. Only the amount of money they get at the end of the week.

"Wow,everything has changed here." I said.

Before I go back to playing my game,I looked towards the door. And I see a slight crack. As a waitress passes by I ask about the door.

"Excuse me, but what happened to the door? There's a crack."

She scoffed "I dunno,you think I care," and walked away.

"So much for being customer friendly!!" I yelled to her.

As I go back to my game,I'm interrupted.

"Ummm.. Is this seat taken?",asked a young fellow.

I looked up at him,and eyed him up and down. He had on a striped shirt,some rolled up pants,and some Vans. He looked so familiar.

*Louis's POV*

He looked so familiar but I can't put my finger on it. And apparently I looked familiar to him too,because he wouldn't stop looking me up and down.

*Batman's POV*

"Uhhhh....yea man sure" I said feeling awkward.

You like familiar,like I've seen you somewhere.

"Wait,aren't you Lewis from that band New Direction?" I asked.

He rolled his eyes. "My name is Louis,the s is silent,and the band I'm in is called One Direction.

"Tell it to someone who cares,Lewis" I scoffed. I don't have any time for people and their sass.

*Louis's POV*

I smirked. "Aren't you Batman?"

He looked up and said "Nooo, I'm superman!"

We sat there in silence, I looked around with boredom sipping my macchiato,while Batman a.k.a Bruce Wayne looked at his phone.

*Narrator POV*

After about 3 minutes a lady wearing sunglasses, walked into the coffee shop,slipped a note to Batman and walked out swiftly.

*Batman's POV*

"What is this?! Who is that lady?!", I said aloud. Maybe a little too loud.

I read the note. "He's at it again?" I said angrily.

Louis looked at me. "You ok?"

The note said I needed an accomplice,so I thought about one kid. Louis.

" Kid,kid,I mean Louis,how would you like to be my sidekick for an important mission to save the world?

His eyes widen and he slowly nodded. I assumed that was a yes.

*Louis's POV*

I read the note Batman handed me.

It read: Batman,we need your help. The Joker is planning something evil,to take over the world. We aren't sure what it is,but he has sent us a letter about planning something evil. Visit our lab, because we need to talk about this more. This job is not a one-man job. You will need a sidekick.

"Wow." is all I could say.

"But why would you pick me?", I asked confused by that.

He shrugged. "Kid, if I pick you, I pick you. You in or not?" He extended his hand.

Before smiling like an idiot, I took his hand and shook it. This is the beginning of a great adventure.
