WINTER DAYS
chapter 1
Hi i'm Violet i've got one little brother called Liam and two sisters Emma and Ciara. i live in a small cottage with my mum and dad. Oh and i've got four dogs named Bobo, Chip, Sheeba and Shep. . Oh and and old cat named Felix (he's useless but a good listene.
This morning it was snowing heavily which is not good for the farm , even a small farm like ours. the pond was frozen solid. the grass was white and the animals were freezing. we had a long day ahead. Dad went out and brought the cows into the shed. Emma, Caira and me went out to feed the chickens and put them in the hen house. then i looked over at the field and saw an old man. mum fed the sheep and made sure the Young lambs were ok , but she found a lamb on the ground dying.i dont think the lamb was dying of cold for some reason. she called over Liam and he brought the lamb into the house Ciara went back in because her hands were cold and saw the lamb in the sitting room. she knew the lamb was going to die even though she's only six so she sat down beside it and rubbed it's head. the lamb died peacefully at ten o'clock when we were all asleep except for mum and dad.
MYSTERY MAN
chapter 2
This morning Mum told us that the lamb died. Dad went out into the cold winter morning to cot some wood. Mum made us porridge. it really wormed us up. Dad came back in and lit the fire even though it was the morning.Emma started to cry for some reason, mum thought it was because she was hungry and gave her some food but she cried even louder. mum felt her forehead, it was warmer than usual mum got a spoon and medicine for her but we didnt have any. luckily Dad has a friend who is a doctor. mum and dad brought emma to the doctor and i was in charge we went out to play but then we noticed the goat were gone i saw footprints in the snow and we followed them through the woods and into a clearance we saw the goats cornered with a worf staring into thier eyes i took a stick and ran infront of the goats liam ran out and left ciara on her own behind the bush. then suddenly the wolf tured to face ciara he walked slowly towards her then ran off we went to see ciara and in the distance we saw a man with a beard we stood up and he walked away.
COLD NIGHT
chapter 3
when we came home with the goats mum, dad and emma where home we told them about the man and wolf but they didnt believe us and sent us to our room when i looked out the window i saw the man i called liam and when i looked back he was gone there werent even any footprints in the snow and liam thought i was mad and if im honest i think i am going mad. That night i couldnt stop thinking about that man we saw he seemed familiar. then i remembered i took out my history book (who knew that it would ever come in handy) i saw the exact same man in the chapted about criminals it says that his name is black jack and that he killed three children and one adult before he went to jail and that he was released two years ago but what was he doing here?
SCREAM !!
chapter 4
I didnt sleep well that night i kept thinking someone was watching me and sometimes i felt a cold breeze flow through my body. I went back to the place we saw the man i heard something in the bushes i went over and was pulled into the bush and hit over the head. when i woke up i was in a dark room and the man was standing in the doorway i asked him his name and he shut the door i was plunged into complete darkness. then i heard a scream in the next room it sounded like liam i ran to the door and started banging. TELL HIM GO DONT HURT HIM YOU.......YOU MURDERER!!! the screaming stopped and i heard the door slam shut he was coming for me.
HERO
chapter 5
he walked in the door and all i could see was a black figure then he disapeared. i looked around but couldnt see him. next thing i knew caira had opened the door and said "over here, shes here" and dad ran in with two police men behind him " dad" i said running to give him a hug but i was pulled back by Jack and he put a nife up to my throut i started to sweat from the fear ( he smelt kind of sweaty too like he hadent washed in weeks) he started to panic and said "give me the goods if u know whats good for ur daughter. dad looked at him like he was a loony but to be honest i think he was. i quicky bit his hand and slid from under his arm the sweat from my forehead made it easy to slip through, but in the proces i cut the side of my face. dad grabbed me and the police grabbed syco Jack.
EXPLENATION TIME
chapter 6
when i got home with liam, ciara and dad i told mum and emma the whole story. but ciara had a bit to add, she said that she had locked herself in the bathroom and when she got out she saw Jack taking two big brown bags and throwing them out the window. so she checked our beds and saw we were gone so she woke up mum and dad and they found a pice of papaer with the adress of the place he was staying. so thats how they found us. and thank god they did or else i dont know what would have happend. :-)
(if im honest i think jack black killed the lamb at the start of the story as a warning)
