I concentrated. Urging Hex to go on. To free me.
"Im sorry Andi, its just hard and your too heavy." hex said hovering above me.
Due to my heritage I was able to understand perfectly at what it said. " what! Are you calling me fat?" I asked slightly offended. Then with a sigh I let go of the magical book. " fine I'll think of something..." I said after a pause.
I thought concentrating; hmm the mist will be no good and and casting spells takes to much enery.
" what about one of your gardian gadgets?" hex asked
" your right... Ahh the cooling spray, thanks Hex" I replied. Luckily the gadgets didnt seem to interfere much monsters. I took it out and sprayed all over the goo. Then making an x, the frozen goo shattered with impact, and I leaped to the other side and gazed back at the swamp
" newcomer? I suppose " a voice said from behind me
I jumped slightly by instinct and turned around and saw a old women with a bun watching with a tinge of curiosity. After a few introductions and explanations, the formal headmaster, Miss JC welcomed me and headed on her way.
***********
As I was about to enter the school, a bush rustled near by. I whiped my head toward it, and instinctly put my hand on my necklace, touching a figuine of a sword. Hex gave a frightened yelp and dove in my backpack. I nearly avoided a tiny snake as it leaped out of the bush. I yanked the necklace and the miniture sword figurine popped off and when I tossed it in the air, it grew into a gleaming bronze sword. I eyed the snake warily, scrambling up a border. It hissed and paced below the rock. The snake was green with white spikes on its neck, and every once in a while puffs of fire would spill out of its mouth. BASLIK! I thought. I knew I couldn't use my sword; it would melt once it impacted the baslik's skin. Hmm if only gale was a weasel not a pole cat that would be useful.
It took a lot of magic and didn't always work, but I could somehow summon an animal to aid me once in a while. But I aslo knew I couldn't stay perched on top of this rock forever, the baslik will eventually grow impatient and attack anyway. Drawing the mist toward me and by imagining the animal I was about to summon , I began chanting " kaleòanima nyfista." a shudder passed through me and I could feel energy drain away from my body. A glowing circle apeared in the grass below me and moments later a small silver weasel leaped out.
Its beady eyes stared at me, its head cocked and waited for orders.
"Weasel get rid of that baslik over there" I ordered pointing to its right.
With a chitter it leaped at the baslik, but it slithered out of the way. It took a few tries but the weasel caught the baslik by its claws before it disappeared into the bushes. The snake writhed in pain as the weasel bit and scratched. Then with a last hiss, it burst into golden dust. After I jumped off the rock and the weasel stretched out its paws out at me.
"Oh right, sorry" I had almost forgotten that I had to give the animal a reward. Rummaging through my backpack I pulled out small bag of beef jerky and gave some of it to the weasel " I'm sorry, this is all I have"
The weasel gave a small anoyed chirr, but it took the treat anyway and leaped back to the circle and disapeared.
Exhausted, I collasped and dug through my bag into I found a ziploc bag full of ambrosia and ate a half peice of it. When I touched the hilt of my sword, it shrunk back to the small figurine. After a rest, I touched the entrance to the school and was sucked in.Yeah my grammer is bad. Aslo probly my description and sentence flow .
