Hey Lovelies! I hope you like this chapter, although it is majorly cliche! >_<
BTW! If you didn't know already, this is a Riley & Farkle story :)

...

"Why did you do that, Riley?"
"What do you mean Farkle. I said yes to a boy who actually likes me!"
"You don't like Charlie, you like Lucas."
"You don't know how I feel! And why does it matter to you anyways."
"I-It doesn't. You just deserve so much better than him. That's all I'm saying."

The genius stormed off without even a glance towards his friend's direction.

Riley speed walked to the bathroom in the A wing and glanced around for anyone in the stalls. It was surprisingly empty. She placed her hands on the ledges of the white sink and bent over with her head hanging down.

"Why did you say yes, Riley? Farkle's right. You don't like Charlie. You like Lucas," the brunette began a conversation with herself. After a long pause she looked at her reflection as a single tear dropped down her slightly tanned cheek.

"Because. You don't stand a chance. Look at Maya. She's beautiful... no, gorgeous. And you're weird. You're weird and you're too happy and you're ugly. You are a nothing compared to Maya. You are nothing in this universe."

She heard a group of giggles get louder and knew that someone was coming. She wiped away the water drops on her face with the back of her hand and grabbed her backpack before pushing out the door.

"Are you okay?"
She prepared to look up with a thankful smile but was interrupted quickly.

"Just kidding. I honestly don't care, loser."

It had to be Missy and her group of Barbies.

"Oh! Were you crying about poor little Lucas and Maya? I guess karma finally caught up with you, bitch. This is what you get for coming between us. I hope you disappear and never return-"

"Leave her alone," Farkle stepped between Riley and Missy.

"Look girls! The nerd's all grown up and now he's defending that little excuse of a human. You know Farkle, now that you've changed, you could leave your pitiful friends and join us."

Riley expected him to leave her and join them but he didn't.

"No."
"But," she ran her hand through his hair, "You'd be better with me."
"I said no."
"Fine, call me when you come to your senses," she stomped off.

"Just leave me alone, Farkle."

"I know what you're feeling."
"Wh-What are you talking about?" she started to walk to the cafeteria.

"I know that you think you're not important. I know that you think that Maya is better than you."
"No you don't. Stop making stuff up."
"Riley..." he warned her.

A pregnant pause filled the air.

"How did you know," she whispered.

"Because I know you. And I know that when you're not happy, I'm not happy. So just talk to me, okay?"
"Come on.. We're missing lunch," the brunette avoided her friend's question.

--

"Where were you guys?" Maya stood up and hugged her best friend.

"I was talking to my math teacher and I happened to see Farkle on my way over here," Riley threw out a smile as Farkle shook his head at her ability to lie on the spot.
"Ok, peaches."

Riley stood up to get some lunch and the genius stood up to go with her.

"Oh! You don't have to come with me Farkle. It's fine. Really."
"No, I insist."
"Fine," she gritted her teeth together and stomped to the line.

---

She grabbed a caesar salad and a bottle of water before making her way to the cash register. She punched in her lunch number and before she could go back, Farkle grabbed her arm.

After they both paid, she threw her salad in the trash.

"What are you doing?!" the boy exclaimed.

"I'm not hungry."
"Well, why did you buy it."
"Because my parents check my purchase history."
"Just tell them you weren't hungry, then."
"They'll still get concerned."

She wiggled out of his grasp and sat next to Maya.

"Where's your food, Riles?" the blonde beauty questioned.

"I'm not that hungry," she put on a fake smile and quietly sipped on her water.

"Ok, that's it," Farkle mumbled before grabbing Riley's arm and pulling her into the hallway.

"What are you doing?!" the brunette protested.

"Riley, why are you doing this? I know the real reason you're not eating. You're beautiful and funny and smart and talented and unique and that's what I love about you! Stop trying to change."

"Farkle. You don't get it, okay? Lucas chose her for a reason. He chose her because she is prettier than me, she is skinnier than me, she is better than me, she is more talented than me, she is funnier than me, she is everything and I am nothing. Don't you understand? Missy is right. I should just kill-"

"Stop."

Farkle said and leaned it to kiss her lightly before pulling her into a comforting hug.

She untangled herself from him after a minute, realizing what he'd done.

"No.. Farkle. You have Smackle. We can't do this. I'm sorry."
