I'm Amelia Lighter and my mom and I were out trick or treating when a HUGE monster jumped out at us. He roared so loud that I had to cover my ears but for some reason my mom didn't, instead she dropped to the ground dead. My mother the courageous Faye Lighter dead. I was soooooo angry at the monster, so I just did what I always did when I got picked on I did exactly i mean exactly what the monster did, I roared as loud as I could imitating the monster. The monster looked at me with surprise then started whimpering like a baby then turned around and ran away crying. I walked up to my mothers body sat down and started crying. I knew what my mom would've said. She would've said. "Now this is not the time to cry because I will never ever leave you so pick yourself up and find someone to help you." I stopped crying and looked around, I found a boy walking by so I called to him. "Excuse me mister?" The boy looked at me then looked at my moms body. "Can I help?" The boy asked looking at my mom. I nodded. He walked over and asked. "How'd she die?" I looked at him quizzically because I had never told him my mom was dead. "You are not going to believe this but a monster killed her." The boy stared at me with his sea green eyes. "I believe you because I was almost killed about a million times by a monster... Anyway I'm Percy who are you?" The boy Percy had changed the subject so weirdly I just looked at him then said. "I'm Amelia." The boy looked at me with a spooked expression. "L-last n-name?"
"Lighter" I replied.
Percy grabbed my hand and I found myself staring at loads of cabins, I realized I wasn't with my mom so I started hyperventilating then I blacked out...
