The crisp night air lifts your (color) hair from your shoulders. You shiver and pull your jacket tighter around you, trying to block the harsh breeze. You grit your teeth and hurry down the quiet street, heading home where there's warmth and a comfy couch. You take a right and scurried across your lawn to the old front door and threw it open. Warm lavender scented air wrapped its loving arms around your shivering body. You sigh and slam the door shut behind you.

"(Y/n? You roll your eyes when you hear your dad call from the living room.

"Yeah dad, its me." You shake off your jacket and walked into the living room. You dropped your jacket on the back of the couch and yawned.

"You had fun with (f/n)?" Your dad looked over his shoulder at you. You shrug with a weak smile.

"Yeah." You lied. Your friend wasn't as who (he\she) used to be. Something changed over the summer when (he\she) started to hang out with the preps in school. You roll your eyes and stared down at your shoes.

"Good thing you came home when you did." Your dad looked at the newspaper that laid spread across his lap. You look up at him, confusion written all over your face.

"Why?" Your dad sighs and folds up the newspaper and stood up.

"There's been a disappearance over by the school." Your dad stares into your (color) eyes. You lift your eyebrows in shock.
But, I just came from there to meet with (f/n).....

"When?" You asked yourself and your dad. He face darken with grief.

"I heard over the radio that it happened about an hour or two ago." He wrapped his arms around you, giving you a tight caring hug. You squirm, a little uncomfortable. "I was hoping to God that it wasn't you." His voice was hoarse, indicating he was seconds to tears.
Is he really going to cry over this?? He never cries...
For the sake of his pride, you gently pull away from him. You smile at him, giving him reassurance. He chuckles. "Just be careful out there sweetheart..anything can happen."

You look down, feeling awkward with your dad's unusual softness.

"I know dad." You look up at him through your lashes and smile, desperate to be dismissed. He clears his throat and shoos you away with his hand.

"Now scurry up to your cave you rat." He winks and sets himself back on the couch. You laugh and obey. You hurried down the hall to your room.

___

You gently close your door behind you and stalk over to your bed. You landed on the (color) sheets and curled up in a ball, hugging your legs.
Is it somebody I know? No, it couldn't be. Bad things don't happen in real life. You let your mind wander. You know longer thought of the disappearance, only happy thoughts. You yawn and grabbed a pillow to cuddle with and gently fell into a light, dreamless sleep.

You woke up to the cold breeze that swirled through your room nip at your bare skin. You grunted in irritation and threw yourself out of bed. You look around your room to see that your window was wide open. Curtains flagging in the crisp breeze. You lift a brow in confusion.
Did I open that? You shake your head and stumbled to the window and slammed it shut. You pull the curtains closed over your window, blocking out the blue moonbeams that stretched across your room. You yawn and pull your messy (color) hair into a limp ponytail and sat on the edge of your bed. You look at the bright red numbers on your alarm clock. 12:56 a.m.

"Fuck man." You whined and pulled the pillow you were cuddling with over your face. You bawl your fists and hit the pillow, fluffing it up. You sigh and closed your eyes, ready to drift back to sweet slumber. Your mind was beginning to go numb when a loud crash shot you back to earth. You yank the pillow from your face and you sit up, ready to lunge at whatever that dares to keep you from dreams. You look around the dark room, seeing the silhouette of your dresser, your pile of dirty laundry.... Your eyes landed on the shadow that stood in the corner. You stare at it in concern. My mind is playing with me. You figured it was only a dark corner.
Until it started to move. You jump to your feet and glared at the shadow.

"Who's there?" You clench your fists and took a step towards it. A low hoarse chuckle came from the shadow. Your heart skips a beat and you break into a sweat.

"Nobody you know, (y/n)." His voice was low, nearly a grumble. Your eyes grow wide.

"H-how do you k-know me?" You stumbled back onto your bed, your legs not allowing you to stand. The shadow continued to loom to you, chuckling vibrantly.

"Sweetheart, don't worry about that." His voice was filled with seductive chimes. You blush slightly, growing interested to this shadow. "I'm no one you know, miss (y/n). But I do know you." He stepped from the shadows. A tall thin man wearing a grin on his pale face towered over you. "So let me introduce myself." His grin broadened. "I'm Johnny C, but you can call me Nny."
