Chapter 1 - First Day Back

     Today is the very first day back to school after winter break. Of course I'm excited to see all my friends, but I just wish that the break didn't have to end. 

It seems like everytime I go on break, whether it's summer break, spring break or winter break I never stay in touch with anyone. It's quite boring so I'm very excited to see everyone today, especially my boyfriend, Scott.

As I'm getting ready I'm very indecisive on what to wear since I had gotten so many new things for Christmas. After going through my clothes I just decide to wear something simple, a black shirt and some black jeans. 

" Do I look okay? " I asked my sister. " Yeah I guess so." She replies.

"Well what's that's supposed to mean? Does it really look that bad?"

"Yep."

"Okay I'm being serious, Ashley. Should I change or not?"

"I'm only joking, you look fine." She says.

"Thanks I think."

I walked out of my room and down the hall to my bathroom. I brushed out my hair and decided to straighten it, hopefully it comes out good. I plugged in my straighter and did my makeup to pass time as it was heating up. 

"Don't put on too much, you don't want to look slutty. Remember 7th grade?" My sister says as she's walking to the kitchen. 

"Shut up jeez, I'll be fine. I didn't plan on putting that much anyway." 

She pisses me off so much sometimes. She's only 13, she shouldn't even know what the word 'slutty' means.

 But I'm only 16, so in two more years I'll be out of here and I won't have to worry about her and her bratty little attitude anymore.

I go into the kitchen to get some cereal. I get a bowl and a spoon, open my fridge, and get the milk. " We're out of cheerios!" I hear my sister say as she's sitting at the table. 

"Ok but I didn't want cheerios anyway." 

I get the lucky charms and pour them into my bowl. Then I pour the milk and put it back in the fridge. I sat next down to my sister and started to eat.

"Mom said she's gonna turn the guest room into my very own room!"

"That's nice." I reply. I hope that's true, I hate sharing a room with her, she's nice sometimes but at others she can be annoying.

 But I cannot blame her, she's my little sister and all little sisters are supposed to be annoying I guess.

"Yeah, I can't wait! I finally be away from you."

"You're such a little shit, " I say under my breath.

"What?" 

"Oh, nothing."

Yikes!

I put my bowl of cereal in the sink and walk to my bathroom. The straighter beeps letting me know that it's now hot enough.

"Bye mom! See you after school!" I shout while walking to my bus

"Have a good day!"

I walk onto my bus and see lots of new faces, but some familiar faces as well. A few kids from my school, this one Dylan kid, he's nice but I'm not his friend.

I see my bestfriend Julia "Hey Julia!" I walked down to her and sat down. "How was your break?" I ask.

"It was good, I got a new phone, how about yours? anything excited happen?"
