As the sun sets

Brook stands in front of the mirror and  with her eyes closed digits with her clothes and Carolyn comes up behind her. Puts the final touches on her hair and said 'ok. Open your eyes.  Did I do good?'  Brook opened her eyes and inhales deeply while covering her mouth. 'Omg is that me? Wow you have out done yourself . Thank you.' Carolyn stands behind her and wraps her arms around her waist. "You are my best friend since we were 15. You have always been there for me helpin me taking care of me. When Jared asked me to help him make this day absolutely perfect for you. Are you serious? There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you. Today is your day. You look so beautiful and I couldn't be more honored to be your best friend!"as she hugged her tight. 'I love you and thank you now stop all this sappy shit or you're gonna make my makeup run.'
A knock on the door gets their attention and Carolyn goes to answer it.
"Oh hey Charles. Come on in'. "Hey Carolyn is she ready? You look great' Brooks dad says as he walks into the room. When Brook comes out of the bedroom her dad stopped  eyes wide and mouth hanging open. 'Daddy how do I look?' Her dad's eyes fill with tears as he stares at her. 'Dad say something please' as she messes with her dress. Her dad walks up to her as Carolyn walked over to her and slapped her hands 'stop fucking with your dress damn it!' 'Brook I always knew you were a beautiful girl but today, you are the most beautiful bride I've ever seen." 'Awe daddy thank you. It's not too much?' 'Seriously? This boy must really love you to have gone through so much to make this possible. Today I don't think there is such a thing as too much. You know I always thought that boy wasn't right for you. Just something about him didn't sit well with me. But seeing everything that boy has done and the amount of money he spent to make this day your perfect day, he has proven to me just how much he loves you so you have my blessing. I wish you both all the happiness and never ending love from this day forward.'
Brook starts to tear up 'that means so much to me. Thank you daddy. I love you.' And she hugs her dad tightly. 'I guess this means you aren't my baby girl anymore. You have grown up,' 'daddy no matter how old I am, I'm always gonna be your little girl!'
'Ok ok stop with the mushy stuff before I have to fix her make up again. Besides we gotta go. Charles can you call down n make sure the car is ready,'. 'Sure who do I call? ' 'and you say I'm pretty.' Carolyn whispers to Brook. Brook slaps at her arm 'Shh be nice.' 'Just dial 0'
Charles calls down to check on the car when there is another knock on the door. 'Are we expecting more people?' 'Not that I know of. Who is it?' 'Special delivery for Ms.Brook Allen.'  Carolyn opens the door to a young man holding 2 dozen long stem red roses, a card and a box. 'Where would you like these?' Carolyn said if you will put those in water over there I will take these.' As she takes the card and the box over to Brook. Brook opened the card 'my love it won't be long till the sun ends its day ushering in the stars as we begin forever as one. I knew you would need something new so please accept the gift in the box and wear it with all my love. Xo'
Brook sets the note down and opens the box and gasps 'OMG! He can't be fucking serious?" Carolyn comes back over and looks in the box "holy shit those are real diamonds aren't they!?! Fucking lucky ass! Come here you have to put it on."
Brook turns around as her dad walks back into the room "ok the flowers are in water and my God Brook did he just give you that ?" Brook nods her head running her fingers along the diamonds. It is a beautiful diamond necklace and in the center Brook's favorite and her birthstone a 5ct amethyst in a princess cut. Carolyn finally gets it hooked. "Ok something old..here and hands her the charm bracelet Brook gave her for her 16th birthday. "You still have this? My God you are a pack rat huh?" "Oh shut up n put it on. Ok that takes care of something old, necklace something new. Ok borrowed I'm letting you borrow my bracelet and something blue? What can we use for blue?'
Charles walker over "I got this one, here." He reached in his pocket and pulled out a blue monogrammed handkerchief with his initials. "Daddy it's perfect. Thank you." As she kisses his cheek.
Carolyn stands at the door "ok bitch let's go get you married!" Brook flips her off "let's do it!" "You know I'm never gonna understand you. The way y'all talk to each other I keep thinking you're mad." "Daddy don't try to understand us. You'll just give yourself a headache." They take the elevator down to the lobby, Richard is waiting for additional security and leads them to the car.
"Ms. Allen you make a beautiful bride. Mr. Leto is already on the beach waiting for you." "Thank you Richard. For everything." "Yes ma'am. Just doing my job ma'am." "I know but you do it very well and was very much appreciate all you do." "Thank you Ms Allen. I mean Mrs.Leto". He gives her a wink and she smiles. A few minutes later they pull up to the location on the beach right in front of the ocean. "We are here ma'am".
