Chapter 2: comfort zones

Again-sorry for any mistakes I make, I am trying to proof read at least twice each chapter, I want to stretch out the book so nothing happens toooooo fast but still let it be exciting so enjoy this chapter, I know Hannah won't ;).

Hannah's POV

I unlocked the door so Sally and I walked inside, we had no homework so we just watched tv and talked until it was about 7:30 and my mums car drove up, she walked in an yawned as she placed her handbag on the countertop.
"Hi Hannah, hi Sally." She said still yawning.
"Hi Mrs. Robbins! Double shift at the shelter I presume?" Sally said cheerfully
"Yes, we got five more dogs come today with wounds so I had to help out, but Sally please, call me Natalie." She said with a smile.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, my mum got a job at an animal shelter down the road a bit when we moved here, and dad works at a bank in the city. So mum sometimes has to work late to help with wounded or sick dogs, she said that I will have to start helping her out at the shelter after school tomorrow. Which I guess is ok cause I love animals, her boss is apparently fairly wealthy and she is really nice, mum said she's excited to meet me.

Dad arrived home soon after mum, they sat on the couch with us. Nathan came down ten minutes later after having a shower
"What for dinner? I'm starving," he whined.
"Maybe we should just order take out again," my mum sighed. It was hard for her to be working double shifts and then come home and have to cook so we had to order take out a lot.
"I can cook, mum, me and Sally have double home ec so we learned how to make a lot of food today," I said towards Sally, asking for approval. Sally and I already knew how to cook really well, if dancing didn't work out for her she wanted to be a chef, but we just wanted to reassure mum by saying we learned at school.
" if your sure honey." She said smiling at me as she sunk into the cough, resting.
I got up and walked into the kitchen to start cooking spaghetti with Sally, it's just basic but still good.

Dinner was fairly silent until mum spoke up, "Hannah, my boss has a son that goes to your school, he apparently works at the shelter everyday, and my boss said she told him to pick you up, he will meet you after school to take you there, I've heard he's quite the cutie," she giggles.

Oh god mum...

About an hour later Sally got picked up and I started thinking, who the hell is this guy that's picking me up??? I don't know what he looks like, his name, what time he is expecting me. Ugh.

Hannah's POV

*BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP*

"Ughhhhh," I groaned and opened my phone to turn the alarm off.
I slowly got out of bed and clumsily walked to the bathroom to shower. It was Tuesday, and we were watching a film in health education about sex, oh joy.

As I got out of the shower I got a text from Sally.

Sally: hey, i can't come to school today because Christie is pretty sick and my parents are on a business trip so I gotta look after her. Sorry Han xxx

Me: it's k, I'll drop off notes for you on the way back from the shelter. Gtg get ready xxx

Sally: okay cool, see you soon!

Christie is Sally's 9 year old sister, she's super cute.

I put my phone on my bedside Table and finished getting ready, I put my hair in a messy bun because I couldn't get a brush through it, curse my thick hair. I looked through my closet and picked out a casual short floral dress that had a fitted waist and pared it with a pair of my black converse. I walked downstairs and waited for Nathan in the car.
