Liam had an obsession with something a little out of the ordinary. It wasn't any band, or book, or even a movie or television show. He was never big on sports growing up, but instead always saved up his allowance money so he can head over to the local video game arcade. The bings of the various games always made him smile, the different types of people all just laughing and smiling while they just had fun made his smile even wider.
It's been years since Liam went to the arcade. Hell, it's been years since Liam even thought of stepping a foot back into Wolverhampton, but he wanted to surprise his mum for her birthday by coming back home from his life back in London. He had moved to London for college, and then stayed there for University while majoring in Business. Now, being 23, Liam's not exactly buddy buddy with the CEO, but he's pretty high up for a new kid in his oil industry corp.
"Liam dear, go out and have some fun." His mother has been practically ordering him to get up and do something the whole day, but he's been refusing since he hasn't had much family time with all the work he has now.
Liam laughs, as his mum literally shoo's him off and out the front door. "Okay, okay. I'll be back in a bit, Mum." She then nods with a satisfied smile, before closing the door straight in Liam's face, which just makes Liam shake his head and chuckle at his mother.
He gets into his car, and begins to just drive around his old neighborhood. He didn't realise how much he truly missed his hometown; how there's trees everywhere and kids are actually outside, having fun doing God knows what. He has the music on loud, listening to the Imagine Dragons album his roommate, Louis, got for him. It was during Radiocative, when he was yelling terribly as he was at a red light that his eyes somehow gravitated to his old personal heaven, Arcade Galaxy.
As soon as the light turned green, he zoomed to the half filled parking lot, and hopped out of his seat while turning the car off at the same time.
When Liam walked inside, he was surrounded by lights. Lots of lights in a curtain of darkness, where kids, teenagers, and adults alike are hunched over a game or laughing their arses off as the soft bings of games can be heard. "It's as perfect as I remembered," Liam whispered to himself.
Strolling over to the coin machine, he had a smile like a child would on their birthday as they get everything they ever asked for and more.
"A bit excited, aren't we?" A voice asked from behind the worker's desk that stands beside the coin machine. Liam looks up and he lost his smile, but not for the reason people may think. He wasn't scared, or mad, or angered in any way; No, Liam was fascinated. There was a man that may be around his age, with tan skin that reminded him of a fine caramel that was oozing with flavor. He could barely make out the man's eyes, but he saw them sparkle a bit when a light from a video game hit them. And his hair, his hair made Liam want to just dive his hands in there and make it messy with sex hair as his lips move against the other man's in sync.
But that could never happen, because the boy who he was just fascinated by, still is fascinated by, is... "Zayn? Mate, is that you?"
Zayn laughs and brings his arms up in the air. "Ten points for Gryffindor!" The tanner of the two comes from behind the desk, bringing a blushing Liam into a hug. Liam doesn't freeze up; he does quite the opposite and melts into Zayn's embrace, smelling the addictive after shave he is wearing. But much to Liam's disappointment, the hug was over in the blink of an eye.
