I awoke in a bed fit for a king and was covered in a silk blanket. I then smelt the air. It smelt like him and i liked it but at the same time i wanted to kill him.
I walked around the room snooping around. Everything seemed like a normal boys room apart from the fact that this room was fit for a king. I walked into his bathroom and was astonished. There was a rain shower, a hot-tub bath and everthing else essential. There was a note by the side of the sink. It read.
" Skylar, I had to leave early this moring because i had to take care of some prince duties. I will be back later. Do not leave this room or try to escape, i have guards, guarding the door and windows.
Ashton
Hmmm. He trusts me to much. He thought i wasn't going to try and escape, Idoit.
I looked out of the window to see, it was quite a long way down but if i shift it won't hurt as much. I saw a guard but that didn't faze me. As i was preparing myself to jump, the bedroom door opened and a maid walked in. She screamedfor me not to jump but i had already let go. I was falling, about halfway down i shifted into my silver wolf. I landed directly on guard and knocked him out. As soon as i did that, i saw Ashton and a few other guards come around the corner. Ashton was fuming and i really didn't want to have to deal with that so i took off into a sprint. I was sprinting for about a good half and hour before Ashton caught up to me and jumped me.
He asked. No he told me to shift back and i did as i was told. To be honest, i don't get scared easily but the look on Ashton's was really scaring me.
As i shifted back, i could feel Ashton's and the other guards eyes on me. Ashton realised they were staring and growled at them. They all looked away as Ashton gave me his shirt. It stopped about mid-thigh. In the process of Ashton jumping on me i think i broke my ankle. He was really heavy. As Ashton helped me off the ground, i went to walk back to the castle and almost immediately feel to the ground. Every time i got up and took a step, i fell back down immediately, i think by doing this i was making my ankle worse because the pain just kept increasing. Ashton offered help but i was determined to get back by myself, I didn'y need any help from a filthy vampire.
Ashton's Pov
I couldn't believe she tried to run away from me, AGAIN.
I was chasing after her with a few of my guards when i got annoyed. This was taking too long, i decided to jump on her. After though i regreted it now because i could see that i'd hurt her. Skylar was struggling to get up so i offered her some help but being the stubborn mate she is she declined my help. After waiting for awhile, and considering it was getting dark, i walked over to Skylar and picked her up bridal style. She struggled against me but soon gave up. I guess i knocked all the energy out of her because a few moments later she was knocked out in my arms.
I thought to myself, when she's asleep she looks like an angel but when shes awake, that is a whole nother story. We reached home and i set Skylar down in my bed. I wrapped my arm around her and pulled her close. I knew she'd scold me in the morning but i didn't care. I just wanted to hold my mate for tonight.
As i was watching her (creepy i know) i heard her mumble something in her sleep. She said " I really do love you Ashton, but being with me causes danger and i don't want to bring you into that. I'm sorry. I love you Ashton."
I was astonshed but i think i'd confront her about it tomorrow. today i'd let her sleep.
