Running deeper into the woods, my heart is about to explode out of my chest. My lungs burn with each breath I take. I had no idea where I was going or what was going on.

He was a completely different person.

Looking over my shoulder, I notice that he has stopped. Hiding behind a giant oak tree, I slowly peeked around to where he is. I see his long fur tail, leading up to his majestic midnight colored body. His blood stained fangs glisten in the moonlight. In an instant his neon colored eyes connected with mine. In them I can see sadness and longing, until his inner animal takes possession.

The full moon reveals it's full self. Pulling back his head, an ear piercing howl escapes his jaws. As I cover my ears a huge shudder runs down my spine.

I freeze in utter terror, as I hear their thundering paws hitting the solid earth in the distance. Tearing my eyes away from him, my instinct takes over, as I push my muscles to the max.

Sticks and twigs beneath my bare feet make me trip and stumble easily. Thorn bushes buried  their points into my soft skin leaving painful marks. My body can't handle anymore. I find another big oak tree and take cover.

Leaning my slender back against the strong tree, I close my eyes, trying to catch my breath.

All is silent.

My bare feet ache and throb, as my open wounds sting with pain. My legs wobble as I try to keep myself upright. A slight cool breeze brushes across my sweat covered brow, leaving goosebumps in it's place.Taking a deep breath, I open my eyes.

Their thundering paws come back to life, as they get closer and closer to their prey.... me. Complete terror and fear overcome me, as I sprint back into the unknown woods. My breath grows ragged with each painful step I took. I jump over a big log. As I land, my knee gives out as I come crashing down hard. My body aches as bruises slowly surface. Having nothing left, I just lie there awaiting my death.

Their thundering paws come to halt, as they surrounded me. Then he steps forward, sitting up I realize this is the end. I can't run any longer, but how did I let it get this far?
